Devaughn Vele's WR2 Finish Comes With Volume Risk Ahead

Vele accounted for just one reception on 2 targets for 2 yards in the first half before finishing with six receptions on nine targets for 54 yards and a TD as the Saints were forced to pass at a high rate in an effort to escape such a deficit in the second half. His garbage-time TD with fewer than two minutes left helped push him to a WR2 finish in Week 4 with 17.4 PPR points.

Brian Robinson's 25.7-Point Night Flashes the Handcuff Upside Behind Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson Pops for 27.7 PPR, Delivers Another RB1 Week

Robinson producing another high-ranking week quickly became inevitable after he took his first rush attempt of the game for a 59-yard TD. He then went on to handle 18 more carries on his way to 145 total rushing yards and 2 TDs along with catching one of his 2 targets for two more yards. Robinson concluded Monday Night Football with 27.7 PPR points to finish as an RB1 for the third time this season.

Saquon Barkley "Week To Week" With Hamstring Injury

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is considered "week to week" with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It’s not considered to be a long-term injury," Rapoport adds. Barkley is a near lock to miss this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars and should be considered iffy for Week 6. With RB Tank Bigsby (core) heading to IR, Will Shipley is the last RB standing on Philadelphia's 53-man roster. RBs Dameon Pierce and Jaydon Blue are on the practice squad. We'll see what moves the Eagles make this week, but Shipley is a good bet to lead the backfield against Jacksonville, making him at least a RB3 or flex option. We'll have more on Shipley in Tuesday's waiver targets article.

        Joe Mixon Resurfaces In Seattle

The Seahawks are signing RB Joe Mixon to their practice squad, pending a physical, according to multiple reports. Our last update on Mixon came in July and read, "Joe Mixon doesn't expect to play again." He missed the entire 2025 campaign after suffering a mysterious foot injury that offseason. Mixon ran for 1,016 yards on 4.1 yards per carry back in 2024. He turned 30 in July.

        Ladd McConkey Aggravated Foot Injury

Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh confirmed that WR Ladd McConkey aggravated the foot injury that had him listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Harbaugh labeled McConkey "day to day," but don't be surprised if he misses at least one game with this issue. McConkey was ineffective before exiting, failing to catch either of his targets. We'll keep tabs on his status this week, but fantasy owners should make other plans for Week 5 lineups.

Cardinals Managing A Banged-Up Jeremiyah Love

Cardinals HC Matt LaFleur said RB Jeremiyah Love injured the opposite ankle in Week 4 as the one he hurt this preseason. LaFleur called it a "tweak" and "a management type of thing." This certainly doesn't seem like a serious injury, but Love's comments after the game make it a bit more concerning.

Broncos Appear Likely to Miss Starting CBs for at Least Week 5

Broncos CBs Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss each left Sunday's loss to the 49ers with an injury. Surtain's ankle is expected to keep him out "about two weeks," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Testing on Moss has determined that he didn't fracture his rib and that the injury is "not long term," according to Mike Klis of KUSA-TV. It's not yet clear how long he'll be out, though.

Tank Bigsby Needs Surgery, Heading To IR

Eagles RB Tank Bigsby needs core-muscle surgery for an injury suffered in the Week 4 loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Bigsby will be placed on IR with the hope that he's back in "six weeks or shorter," per Rapoport. Philadelphia also lost RB Saquon Barkley to a hamstring injury on Sunday. We're still waiting to find out how long he'll be sidelined.

Kyle Monangai's Thumb Injury Not Serious

Bears RB Kyle Monangai's right thumb injury isn't serious, HC Ben Johnson said Monday. "We think he is going to be ok, so we'll see what it looks like as we go through the week here, but more of a day-to-day type deal," Johnson said. We'll track Monangai's status throughout the week, but it sounds like he has a good chance to play vs. the Packers this weekend. Monangai took over Chicago's backfield after D'Andre Swift's third-quarter fumble vs. the Jets, rushing 30 times for 146 yards and 2 TDs. We're betting on the backfield returning to status quo in Week 5, but there's certainly a chance Monangai takes on a bigger role if his thumb is ok.

        Tyquan Thornton Out 3-4 Months

Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton will undergo surgery on the ankle he dislocated in the Week 4 win over the Raiders and is expected to miss 3-4 months, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. The short end of that timeline would have Thornton back for the final game or two of the regular season. He could still be a factor in the playoffs, but Thornton can be dropped from all redraft rosters.

Lamar Jackson Iffy For Week 5

Ravens HC Jesse Minter admitted Monday that QB Lamar Jackson is uncertain for Sunday night's game vs. the Falcons after spraining an ankle in the Week 4 win over the Titans. "I don't think it's going to be crazy long-term," Minter added. It doesn't sound like Jackson is facing an extended absence, but fantasy owners should get a backup plan in place for Week 5. Jackson's absence would leave Tyler Huntley under center for Baltimore. He owns a career 67% completion rate but just 5.9 yards per attempt. Huntley played 2 full games last year and posted 186-1-0 and 107-1-0 passing lines. He'd clearly be a big downgrade for WR Zay Flowers and the rest of Baltimore's passing game.

Tee Higgins "Day To Day" With Adductor Injury

Bengals WR Tee Higgins is considered "day to day" with the adductor injury he suffered in the Week 4 loss to the Jaguars, HC Zac Taylor said Monday. Higgins briefly tried to play through the injury in Jacksonville before eventually exiting for good in the fourth quarter. It sounds like he dodged a significant injury, but fantasy owners should still be lining up a backup plan for Week 5. We'll keep you updated on Higgins' status throughout this weekend.

Zach Charbonnet Wont Play Week 5

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) won't play against the 49ers this weekend, HC Mike Macdonald said Monday. Charbonnet is expected to work into team drills in practice this week, though, Macdonald added. That could set him up to make his 2026 debut in Week 6 against the Broncos. It certainly looks like he'll make it back before RB Jadarian Price, who's out until at least Week 8. Charbonnet is worth stashing in most fantasy leagues. Emanuel Wilson will get another crack at lead duties this Sunday after racking up 120 total yards and 2 TDs in the Week 4 win over the Chargers.
