Seahawks to get 2 D starters back

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed Friday that he expects CB Brandon Browner and DE Chris Clemons to be ready for Sunday's clash with Jacksonville.  It'll be Clemons' 1st time on the field since he suffered an ACL tear in the January playoff win at Washington.  Browner missed the 1st 2 weeks with a hamstring injury.  Seattle, of course, probably could dominate the Jaguars even without these reinforcements.

Seahawks S Jamal Adams (groin) is active for today's game against the Cardinals. CB D.J. Reed (groin) is inactive.

The Seahawks have fired OC Brian Schottenheimer. ESPN's Adam Schefter cites "philosophical differences" between Schottenheimer and HC Pete Carroll. We assume that's referring to the offense's run/pass split, which has long been a topic of debate in Seattle. The 2020 Seahawks offense was a juggernaut over the 1st half of the season, averaging 34.3 points and 414 total yards per game on a 59.3% pass rate. They sunk to 24.3 points and 335 yards in the 2nd half on a 56.6% pass rate. We'll see who the 'Hawks go with as their new OC. Russell Wilson, D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett's fantasy stocks are on the line.

Seahawks CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) and DT Jarran Reed (oblique) are active for today's game against the Rams.

Seahawks CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) and DT Jarran Reed (oblique) are questionable for Saturday's game against the Rams. Griffin came down with his injury this week and missed the final practice. Reed put in limited workouts the final 2 days. We'd bet on him playing. We'll check the status of both Saturday afternoon, when the inactives come out.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that DE Carlos Dunlap (foot) and CB Quinton Dunbar (knee) will practice this week "with a plan on playing Sunday," according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. The decision on whether either defensive starter will return to action against Washington on Sunday figures to come at the end of the week. So don't rely too heavily on either in your Week 15 IDP plans.
