Cardinals S Deone Bucannon joined the injury report Thursday after suffering an apparent concussion in Wednesday's practice. Bucannon returned to practice Friday, however, after clearing the league protocol, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. The team deemed him questionable for Sunday's game against the Niners. “I’m going to be very careful with Deone,” HC Bruce Arians said. “I have to fight him, but we’ll be careful.”
The Buccaneers have reached a 1-year deal with LB Deone Bucannon, according to multiple reports. That's not the kind of contract that will guarantee Bucannon a starting job, but he rejoins the HC (Bruce Arians) who led the team that drafted him back in 2014. Bucannon also joins a Bucs D that's about to lose MLB Kwon Alexander to the 49ers. Bucannon's likely headed to that spot, barring some other addition to the corps this offseason. He might have to compete with 2018 rookie Adarius Taylor for that job. It'll be an interesting LB corps to watch this offseason.
The Cardinals have ruled ILB Deone Bucannon out for Sunday's game against the Rams. Bucannon did, reportedly, avoid serious injury to the joint that required surgery in the spring. But he didn't participate in any practice this week. We'll see about Week 14.
Cardinals LB Deone Bucannon left Sunday's win over the Jaguars with an injury to his right ankle, HC Bruce Arians told reporters afterward. That's particularly bad news, because that's the ankle that kept Bucannon out all offseason following spring surgery. We'll see about the specific diagnosis.
Cardinals ILB Deone Bucannon (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game against the Cowboys. There had been hope he'd be ready to make his 2017 debut vs. Dallas, but Bucannon clearly needs more time. We'll need to see him in at least 1 game before putting him into any IDP lineups. Don't be surprised if he returns to a limited role early on.
Cardinals ILB Deone Bucannon is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Cowboys. According to Mike Jurecki of 98.7 FM in Arizona, Bucannon will be on a snap count in his return game. The veteran put in limited practices all week and missed the full offseason, training camp and preseason following ankle surgery. Karlos Dansby remains the only usable Cardinals ILB in IDP leagues.
