Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced Friday that RB Christine Michael will start this weekend's opener against the Dolphins. RB Thomas Rawls will come off the bench. This doesn't tell us a whole lot about the workload distribution, but it jibes with what we heard earlier this week. Rawls is expected to be limited coming off last year's severe ankle injury, but his volume might ultimately come down to how he's feeling and performing during the game. Consider both Rawls and Michael risk/reward fantasy plays in a plus matchup.

The Colts announced Wednesday that they have re-signed RB Christine Michael. The 27-year-old joined Indy last offseason but went on IR after suffering an injury in June minicamp. Michael's notable at the moment only because the Colts backfield looks far from set. Frank Gore is a free agent who doesn't look like he'll return. That leaves Marlon Mack, Robert Turbin, Josh Ferguson and Matt Jones with Michael at the moment. Indy should be adding to that group early in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The Colts placed RB Christine Michael on IR. He lasted just 2 weeks on the active roster. No word on Michael's injury, but at least we won't need to waste any more words on him this year. Robert Turbin and rookie Marlon Mack will battle for backup duties behind Frank Gore.

The Colts have signed RB Christine Michael. It's actually an intriguing landing spot for fantasy football's greatest enigma. Michael joins a backfield with 34-year-old Frank Gore, rookie Marlon Mack and journeyman Robert Turbin. He's simply failed too many times for us to get excited about him again.

The Packers have released RB Christine Michael. The writing was on the wall when Green Bay drafted 3 RBs over the weekend. Michael is still only 26 but has proven to be a fantasy football tease over the past 5 seasons. The Packers also released RB Don Jackson, leaving them with Ty Montgomery and rookies Jamaal Williams, Aaron Jones and Devante Mays.

The Packers have re-signed RB Christine Michael. We didn't hear of any other teams showing interest in the 26-year-old. Michael appeared in 8 games for Green Bay last season (including the playoffs), mustering just 3.7 yards per carry on 47 totes. The Packers' backfield currently sports just Michael, Ty Montgomery and Don Jackson -- so there's opportunity here. But Michael has mostly disappointed since entering the league in 2013. It seems unwise to bank on that trend changing in 2017.
