Broncos S T.J. Ward is active for tonight's game. That's not a surprise, given the team didn't even list him as questionable. But some had incorrectly tweeted that Ward was among tonight's inactives. Use him as you normally would in IDP lineups.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports that S T.J. Ward has agreed to a 1-year, $5 million deal with the Buccaneers. Ward probably won't be ready to start by Week 1, but that looks like starter money for 2017. We won't be surprised if Ward quickly begins to rotate in with starting safeties Chris Conte and Keith Tandy and then replaces 1 of them in the lineup. With Conte and Tandy working fairly interchangeably, Ward could step in for either. Tandy pushed Conte out of the lineup late last season, however. We'd bet on Conte losing playing time first.

Broncos S T.J. Ward returned to a full practice Tuesday, according to NFL Network, 18 days after going down with a hamstring injury. Ward still has time to get ready for the 3rd preseason game and a little more than 2 weeks before the regular season begins. As long as he can avoid any setbacks or compensatory issues, Ward should remain a solid DB option for IDP owners in fantasy football drafts.

Broncos S T.J. Ward left Friday's practice with a right hamstring injury. HC Vance Joseph said afterward that they don't yet know how serious the injury might be, according to The Denver Post. We'll keep an eye on the situation.

Broncos S T.J. Ward joined the injury report Wednesday with a concussion. He played all but 2 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Patriots and did postgame interviews, so the symptoms must have arisen later. We'll see if Ward can make it through the protocol in time to play this weekend, but he's a low-level IDP option in an exciting matchup for DB scoring with the Chiefs.

The Broncos have ruled S T.J. Ward (ankle) out for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. David Bruton (knee) is probable and should start in his place. Bruton presents decent tackle upside against a high-powered Steelers pass offense. He missed last week with his knee injury but racked up 13 tackles (10 solo) the week before.
