Washington LB Zach Brown is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. He popped up on the injury report after missing Thursday's practice with an illness but returned to full participation Friday. We'd bet on Brown playing. DL Matt Ioannidis is also questionable with a shin injury. He missed practice all week after sitting out last week's game. Ioannidis looks like a poor IDP bet even if he turns up active Sunday.
Washington CB Quinton Dunbar (hamstring) and FS Montae Nicholson (ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Dunbar missed practice all week with his injury and looks like a poor bet for IDP use even if he plays. Nicholson sustained his injury Friday. We'll see about both players Sunday morning. CB Fabian Moreau (hamstring) is also questionable after limited practices all week. That means 2 of Washington's current top 3 at the position will be at least banged up for the game -- if not out. CB Josh Norman -- recently booted from the starting lineup -- is also questionable with an illness.
Washington S Montae Nicholson (ankle) is out for tonight's game against the Vikings. CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) is active, though, after also arriving questionable. Norman's not a strong IDP option and doesn't significantly change the matchup for Vikings WRs Stefon Diggs or Olabisi Johnson.
Washington S Montae Nicholson (ankle) and CB Josh Norman (thigh, hand) are questionable for Thursday night's game against the Vikings. Each guy missed every practice of the week. CB Fabian Moreau saw full playing time with Norman out last week, while Jimmy Moreland played 55% as the 3rd corner. Troy Apke played a season-high 55% of the snaps, with Nicholson leaving early, and should play in Nicholson's place if the starter sits against Minnesota.
Washington has fired HC Jay Gruden, according to multiple reports. His team has started 0-5 with an unsettled QB situation, following 2 straight 7-9 campaigns. Washington has hired assistant HC/OL coach Bill Callahan as the interim HC. Callahan spent 2 years as the Oakland head man in 2002-03 and has been around the league in various capacities. It's tough to imagine how he might change the fortunes of Washington's (few) fantasy-relevant players. We'll be curious to see whether Callahan handles the QB spot any differently than Gruden, who was reluctant to thrust rookie Dwayne Haskins into the lineup. Colt McCoy went 18 of 27 passing for just 119 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT while taking 6 sacks in Sunday's loss to New England, his 1st start in place of Case Keenum.
Washington CB Quinton Dunbar is inactive for tonight's game against the Bears. He's dealing with a knee injury that also cost him Week 2 and kept him out of practice all week. DE Jonathan Allen is active, though, after missing Week 2 with a knee sprain.
