The Buccaneers have signed QB Blaine Gabbert, according to The Athletic. He'll now back up QB Jameis Winston after playing the same role with the 49ers, Cardinals and Titans previously. Tennessee's trade for Ryan Tannehill replaced Gabbert there. Gabbert previously played under new Bucs HC Bruce Arians with the 2017 Cardinals, where he went 2-3 in 5 starts.

Buccaneers QB Blaine Gabbert dislocated his left (non-throwing) shoulder in Friday night's preseason game against the Browns. "His shoulder popped out," HC Bruce Arians said after the game, according to ESPN. "He was hurting pretty good, but [I told him], 'Good thing it's not your throwing shoulder. You'll be all right.'" Arians said the Bucs would seek another QB before the preseason finale, but this doesn't seem like an issue that should keep Gabbert out into the regular season. Of course, Gabbert's status only matters if Jameis Winston goes down.

Titans QB Blaine Gabbert sustained a concussion in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. That's forced Tennessee to turn to QB Marcus Mariota, who is still dealing with his elbow injury.

Gabbert joined the Cardinals this offseason and posted a 61.2% completion rate, 8.2 yards per attempt, 1 TD and 1 INT this preseason. He's a career 56% passer with 38 TDs and 37 INTs in 43 regular-season appearances. Gabbert does bring some rushing ability, though, averaging 12.8 yards per game for his career and 25.6 in San Francisco the past 2 years. That, plus the matchup with Houston's crumbling defense, puts Gabbert on the QB2 radar for Week 11.
