The Athletic's Zak Keefer raved about WR Parris Campbell, calling him a "draft-day steal" and saying he's "dripping with talent." Virtually everyone covering the Colts deemed Campbell a standout early in training camp. He's been sidelined with a hamstring issue the past few days, so we'll keep an eye on that situation. But it sure sounds like the rookie is set to play a significant role this year. "Campbell feels bigger than he’s listed, and he’s more polished than you’d assume," Keefer wrote. "[HC Frank] Reich has already indicated he plans to use him all over the field." Campbell is a nice upside pick at his 12th-round ADP.

Recent Shark Bites

Colts WR Parris Campbell has been placed on the IR after breaking his foot in Sunday's loss to the Colts. It ends a rookie season that also saw Campbell deal with hamstring, hernia and hand injuries. We'll track his rehab this offseason. The Colts are down to WRs Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson and Ashton Dulin.

Colts WR Parris Campbell (hand) put in a full week of practice and will return for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. The rookie has been out since Week 9 and certainly isn’t a safe Week 14 fantasy play. But Campbell tallied 13 targets and 3 carries in 2 games without T.Y. Hilton earlier this year. And the matchup is right. He’s at least in play for DFS tournaments.

Colts WR Parris Campbell (hand) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, putting him on track to return for this weekend's game against the Bucs. It'll be the rookie's 1st action since Week 9. We wouldn't trust him in fantasy lineups, despite Sunday's plus matchup. But Campbell's return helps QB Jacoby Brissett, who is still missing WR T.Y. Hilton and TE Eric Ebron.

Colts WR Parris Campbell fractured his hand in Sunday's loss to the Steelers, HC Frank Reich said. The rookie will undergo surgery and "miss some time," Reich said. The team is hoping not to place him on IR, but Campbell figures to miss multiple weeks. It's unfortunate timing as he was in line to assume a bigger role with T.Y. Hilton out with his calf injury. The Colts are now down to Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Deon Cain as their healthy WRs. We'll see if Devin Funchess is ready to return from his broken collarbone.

The Athletic's Zak Keeker doesn't expect WR Parris Campbell to be limited in Sunday's season-opener against the Chargers. The rookie missed most of August with a bum hamstring but flashed in the preseason finale with 3 catches for 42 yards. "[HC] Frank Reich and staff have been impressed at how quickly he's picked up the scheme," Keefer says. We wouldn't want to trust Campbell in fantasy lineups in his pro debut against a tough Chargers defense. But he's an intriguing bench stash -- even with Jacoby Brissett under center.
