The Athletic's Zak Keefer raved about WR Parris Campbell, calling him a "draft-day steal" and saying he's "dripping with talent." Virtually everyone covering the Colts deemed Campbell a standout early in training camp. He's been sidelined with a hamstring issue the past few days, so we'll keep an eye on that situation. But it sure sounds like the rookie is set to play a significant role this year. "Campbell feels bigger than he’s listed, and he’s more polished than you’d assume," Keefer wrote. "[HC Frank] Reich has already indicated he plans to use him all over the field." Campbell is a nice upside pick at his 12th-round ADP.
The Athletic's Zak Keeker doesn't expect WR Parris Campbell to be limited in Sunday's season-opener against the Chargers. The rookie missed most of August with a bum hamstring but flashed in the preseason finale with 3 catches for 42 yards. "[HC] Frank Reich and staff have been impressed at how quickly he's picked up the scheme," Keefer says. We wouldn't want to trust Campbell in fantasy lineups in his pro debut against a tough Chargers defense. But he's an intriguing bench stash -- even with Jacoby Brissett under center.
Colts WR Parris Campbell played in the team's preseason finale, catching 3 balls for 42 yards, including this explosive catch and run. The rookie missed almost all of August with a bum hamstring and just returned to practice on Monday, so it was good to see him out there. Campbell's upside took a big hit with QB Andrew Luck's retirement. But he was flashing early in training camp and should quickly emerge as a top 3 WR in Indianapolis. You could do worse as a late-round pick in your fantasy draft.
Colts WR Parris Campbell (hamstring) practiced on Monday for the 1st time since late July. That missed time is a big deal for a rookie -- even though he was reportedly balling out before going down. Throw in the QB downgrade from Andrew Luck and Jacoby Brissett, and Campbell doesn't look like an early-season fantasy option.
The Athletic's Zak Keefer tweets that there's "no guarantee" that WR Parris Campbell (hamstring) is ready for Week 1. The rookie has been sidelined for about 3 weeks now with his bum hammy, and HC Frank Reich hinted on Tuesday that Campbell won't practice this week. He was buzzing early in camp and should emerge as the Colts' #3 WR quickly once he gets healthy. But it doesn't look like Campbell will be an early-season fantasy option.
Colts WR Parris Campbell (hamstring) was set to return to practice but suffered a setback over the weekend, HC Frank Reich said. "He felt a little something yesterday,” Reich said. “We’re kind of re-evaluating that. Hopefully, that wasn’t too much. … We’ll have to wait a few more days to see if that settles down. Hopefully, we can get him back soon.” Campbell was shining early in camp but has now missed 10 straight practices. He needs to get back on the field soon if he wants to be an early-season fantasy option.
