Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the 49ers after returning to a limited practice on Friday. The Athletic's Jay Morrison notes that "almost every player the Bengals listed as questionable last year ended up playing." And Geoff Hobson of the team's official website wrote after Friday's practice that Mixon "looks good to go." We're expecting him to play vs. San Francisco but will find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) remained sidelined on Wednesday. He's "week to week," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, so owners shouldn't be banking on him returning for Sunday's game against the Titans. That'd mean another game as lead back for Gio Bernard.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon is considered "week to week" with his foot injury and is uncertain for next week's game vs. the Titans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We'll keep an eye on Mixon's progress this coming week -- and what Cincinnati's backfield looks like today without Mixon.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns. It's a surprise after he was able to play through the foot injury last week. HC Zac Taylor called Mixon "day to day" earlier this week, so we're not expecting this to be an extended absence. Gio Bernard now figures to serve as Cincinnati's lead back vs. Cleveland on Sunday. In the 2 games Mixon missed back in 2018, Bernard tallied 27 carries, 13 targets and 3 TDs. He scored19.6 and then 25.6 PPR points. Bernard is 28 now and has struggled to just 3.3 yards per carry over the past 2 seasons, so don't expect a highly efficient outing this weekend. But volume puts him in the low-end RB2 mix. Bernard will be backed up by Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) missed practice again on Thursday. We're still expecting him to play against the Browns on Sunday after he played through this injury last week, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He briefly exited last week's game with this injury but eventually returned. We're expecting him to be fine for Sunday's game against the Browns, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to stash RB Gio Bernard just in case.
