Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the 49ers after returning to a limited practice on Friday. The Athletic's Jay Morrison notes that "almost every player the Bengals listed as questionable last year ended up playing." And Geoff Hobson of the team's official website wrote after Friday's practice that Mixon "looks good to go." We're expecting him to play vs. San Francisco but will find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) is active for today’s game against the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and was reportedly a game-time decision. Mixon’s snaps might be limited, and there’s always some risk of an in-game aggravation with ankle sprains. It makes him more of a risk/reward RB2 for Week 2.
The Bengals are "optimistic" that Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) will be able to play against the 49ers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Both Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter suggest that a final decision on Mixon's status won't be made until he goes through pre-game warmups. We'll get Cincinnati's inactives by noon ET. If active, Mixon will be a risk/reward fantasy play at less than 100%.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon was on the field for the team's walkthrough on Friday, according to multiple sources. It's obviously a light practice, but it boosts Mixon's chances of playing against the 49ers this weekend. We'll see how Cincinnati lists him on the final injury report this afternoon.
Bengals RB Joe Mixon (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. HC Zac Taylor said earlier this week that Mixon might not practice at all, so this doesn't exactly tell us much about his Week 2 availability. But it'd sure be nice to see him get back on the field tomorrow. Check back then for another update -- and make sure RB Gio Bernard is rostered in your league.
Bengals HC Zac Taylor labeled RB Joe Mixon (ankle) "day to day" in his Wednesday press conference. Taylor seemed to hint that Mixon won't practice much, if at all, this week in order to try to get him healthy by Sunday. Consider Mixon 50/50 for that game against the 49ers.
