Jackson questionable for Week 9 | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears. Both D-Jax and HC Doug Pederson have expressed optimism about Jackson’s Week 9 availability. We’ll get his official status by noon ET on Sunday. We’d try not to use Jackson in his 1st action since Week 2, but his return would be great news for QB Carson Wentz and the rest of the Eagles offense.

Recent Shark Bites

The Eagles have placed WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) on IR. He'd be eligible to return if Philly reaches the Divisional Round of the playoffs, but his fantasy season is over. A healthy D-Jax proved there's still plenty of gas in his tank with an 8-154-2 line back in Week 1, but staying healthy has proved increasingly difficult for the 32-year-old. The Eagles will move forward with a sluggish WR corps of Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Mack Hollins.

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson will undergo core-muscle surgery on Tuesday, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark. D-Jax tried to return for Sunday's game against the Bears and made his injury worse, reportedly tearing his abdominal muscle off the bone. He's expected to be sidelined another 4-6 weeks. The short end of that timeline would have him back for Week 14. It'd be at least another week before we could trust him in fantasy lineups, so Jackson is droppable outside of deep leagues. The Eagles' passing game will continue to lack a field-stretching deep threat without D-Jax.

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) lasted just 4 snaps in his return on Sunday against the Bears. "He gets into the football game and he had a moment there where he said something felt something, and so we took him in for really precautionary reasons," HC Doug Pederson said Monday. "And everything, what I heard after the game, checked out good. We'll check him out again this morning. I'll get an update here in a little while. But I fully expect him to be good in a couple of weeks." Jackson gets a Week 10 bye to try to get healthy, but he can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him make it through a full game.

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson aggravated his abdomen injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Bears and is officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we learn more.

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is active for today’s game against the Bears. It’s unclear how big a role he’ll play in his 1st action since Week 2, so we’d try not to use D-Jax in fantasy lineups. His return is good news for QB Carson Wentz. We’ll also see what it means for TE Dallas Goedert’s playing time.
