The Seahawks have ruled DE Jadeveon Clowney out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Clowney has been dealing with a core muscle injury for several weeks. He also battled illness this week, missing practice Wednesday and Thursday. Clowney returned for limited participation Friday, though, and initially drew a "questionable" tag for the Carolina game. But the team quickly downgraded him. Clowney's absence is a significant blow to a D-line that also has DE Ezekiel Ansah questionable (neck). Elsewhere on the defense, LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) will miss his 2nd straight game, and CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) is questionable.
