The Bears "fear" a torn ACL for RB Tarik Cohen, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. These reports almost always end up being confirmed, so expect Cohen to miss the rest of the season. That should mean more pass-catching work for RB David Montgomery. Cordarrelle Patterson also becomes a potential deep-league stash. He's tallied 15 carries and 4 catches through 3 games.

Bears HC Matt Nagy announced Monday that RB Tarik Cohen has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the 2020 season. He ran 54 pass routes and garnered 9 targets through 3 games. Most of that work now figures to go to RB David Montgomery.

Bears RB Tarik Cohen was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Falcons with a knee injury. We'll look for an update on the severity.

The Bears and RB Tarik Cohen agreed late Saturday to a 3-year extension worth $17.25 million in new money, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Looks like we can count on at least a couple more years of ho-hum PPR production.

Bears HC Matt Nagy believes he "probably gave [RB Tarik Cohen] a little bit too much" last season. ‘‘And when you mentally drain them, it pulls them back physically," Nagy explained. Cohen played 46% of the Bears' offensive snaps in 2018, averaging 6.2 carries and 5.7 targets per game. We currently have him projected for 5.4 carries and 5.1 targets per game this year, so we're buying a reduced workload. The offshoot here is that less work for Cohen could mean more work for rookie RB David Montgomery.

New Bears HC Matt Nagy likes what he's seen from RB Tarik Cohen both on film and early in the offseason program. “He’s a run threat and then he can catch the ball in space in broken formations," Nagy said. “That’s an advantage for the play callers and the play designers to be able to do some different things. We can move him around and try to get an advantage. … He’s dynamic." Cohen is coming off a promising rookie season that saw him average 4.3 yards per carry on 87 attempts and tally 53 catches. Nagy said recently that Jordan Howard will remain the team's lead back, but there's certainly room for Cohen to tack on another 20 or 30 touches to last year's total. He's fairly valued at his current 7th-round ADP.
