Jaguars DE Josh Allen avoided ligament damage in the knee he injured Sunday against the Steelers. But HC Doug Marrone says Allen "will be out for quite a while," according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. That makes the inconsistent producer fine to drop in redraft IDP leagues.
Jaguars DE Josh Allen left in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Steelers with a knee injury. Allen needed help off the field and into the locker room. We'll see about the severity of the injury.
Jaguars HC Doug Marrone said Monday that he thinks DE Josh Allen is "trending on being able to play this week," according to SI.com. Allen lost the past 2 games to a hip injury, but it sounds like he should return to face the Chargers on Sunday. L.A. has allowed the 2nd most DL points per game so far this season, offering a solid matchup for Jacksonville's top D-lineman. The scoring has been more tackle-driven than sack-friendly, though. So the fantasy floor looks better than the ceiling. We'll watch Allen's participation level through the practice week.
Jaguars DE Josh Allen (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Lions. He seemed to be trending toward a return with limited practices Wednesday and Thursday after missing Week 5. But Allen sat out Friday’s practice. We’ll see about his status for a Week 7 meeting with the Chargers.
Jaguars DE Josh Allen (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. Allen missed last week's game with the injury. He put in limited practices the 1st 2 days of this week but then sat out Friday. That doesn't seem to point to Allen being a good IDP play this week. We'll update his status Sunday morning, but you should plan for an alternative in your fantasy lineup.
The Jaguars have downgraded DE Josh Allen to out for Sunday's game against the Texans. He already looked unlikely to play through a knee injury that kept him out of practice all week. Allen's absence could mean more snaps for rookie K'Lavon Chaisson and DE Dawuane Smoot. Chaisson reached 50% snap share for the 2nd time in 4 games last week but hasn't looked like a player who belongs in IDP lineups yet. Smoot has yet to hit 50% in a game this season. Cassius Marsh could see the biggest boost at the position. His playing time has gone 19%, 62% and 32% through his 3 appearances.
