Nick Emmanwori Leaves with Hamstring Injury

Seahawks S Nick Emmanwori left Sunday's game against the Commanders with a hamstring injury. The team has deemed him questionable to return. Emmanwori just returned last week following offseason ankle surgery. We'll need to see him play a full game before using him in IDP lineups.

        De'Von Achane Hurts Knee

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane suffered a knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He headed back to the locker room and is officially questionable to return. Ollie Gordon is Miami's No. 2 RB with Jaylen Wright (stinger, foot) inactive today.

Case Keenum Expected to Start on Monday Night

The Bears are expected to start QB Case Keenum on Monday Night. Caleb Williams will be out mutliple weeks due to his hamstring. QB Tyson Bagent is Questionable with a concussion, but it appears he will not start, even if he is cleared. Keenum is set to start the game, which is a hit to the Bears weapons and offense in terms of fantasy value.

Brian Burns Active vs. Titans ... but Risky

Giants Edge Brian Burns is active for today's game against the Titans. He still makes for a risky IDP play, though. Burns missed the entire practice week after spraining his left ankle in the Monday night loss to the Rams. Rainy conditions in New Jersey add another risk factor. Burns lands lower than usual in our Week 3 DL rankings. The Giants will also go without CB Deonte Banks and S Tyler Nubin.

        Michael Pittman Active

Steelers WR Michael Pittman (foot) is active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said this morning that Pittman is battling plantar fasciitis. Between that and a struggling Pittsburgh offense, Pittman would be a very shaky Week 3 fantasy start

        Jaylen Warren Active

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Bengals. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so there could be some risk of re-injury with that shoulder. But, with RB Rico Dowdle inactive, Warren is in for a big workload today as long as he holds up. He played every snap in the fourth quarter last week with Dowdle out.

He only got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, but Coker has been producing through this ankle injury since early in Week 1. He still cracks our top 20 WRs for Week 3. WR Xavier Legette (knee) is inactive today.

        Adonai Mitchell INACTIVE

Jets WR Adonai Mitchell (finger) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Lions. He hurt his finger on Thursday and was a game-time decision for this one, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. We’ll see if Mitchell can make it back for Week 4. His absence leaves WRs Isaiah Williams, Sterling Shepard, Malik McClain, and Jamaal Pritchett behind Garrett Willson. Woof. Wilson should dominate targets in this one. TE Kenyon Sadiq could also play a significant role.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Giants. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and was listed as questionable, so it’s safe to assume he’s not at 100% for this one. Spears is not a recommended Week 3 fantasy start.

D.J. Moore & Keon Coleman Active

Bills WR D.J. Moore (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Chargers. There’s some re-injury risk with the AC joint sprain Moore suffered two Thursdays ago, but he’d be tough to leave out of fantasy lineups after going for 100 yards and a score in the opener. WR Keon Coleman (ankle) is also active for Buffalo but isn’t a viable fantasy option with Moore playing.

Jayden Daniels Expected Back In "3 Weeks Or Sooner"

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) is expected back in "3 weeks or sooner," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's more confirmation than new reporting after Washington opted against placing Daniels on short-term IR, which would have knocked him out 4 weeks. Daniels won't play against the Seahawks today, but it sounds like he at least has a chance to play vs. the Colts in Week 4 and is expected back by Week 5 against the Giants. Rapoport adds that Daniels will wear a brace on that left elbow when he returns. He'll carry re-injury risk for the rest of the season.

Myles Garrett Out Until Week 8?

Rams Edge Myles Garrett got a recovery timeline of "roughly six weeks" following his knee surgery earlier this month, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Six weeks from his Sept. 14 surgery would be Oct. 26, the day after the Rams' Week 7 meeting with the Raiders.

Caleb Williams Given 3-4 Week Timetable For Return

Bears QB Caleb Williams has a Grade 2 hamstring injury and was given a 3-4 week timetable for return, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Williams is reportedly trying to beat that timeline and has not been placed on short-term IR. He notably injured this same hamstring in the Pac-12 Championship in 2022 and was able to play in the Cotton Bowl a month later. We'll keep you updated on his progress, but Williams owners should at least plan on him missing Week 4, with Week 5 also looking iffy. Chicago's bye isn't until Week 10. We still don't have confirmation on who's starting for the Bears vs. the Eagles tomorrow night. QB Tyson Bagent (concussion) is listed as questionable after returning to practice on Saturday.

Puka Nacua Still Lacks Explosiveness, Surgery Remains Possible

Rams WR Puka Nacua's groin injury is impacting his explosiveness, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. "Functionally, Nacua can play, but he has not felt like he can play with the same explosiveness he has had in the past," Schefter writes. Schefter also confirms that Nacua has a chance to return for Week 4 but adds that surgery is "not entirely off the table if Nacua doesn’t show signs of improvement." So we're somewhere between Nacua returning next week and needing surgery, which would presumably cost him multiple more games. Ok then. At this point, Nacua owners should probably hold rather than sell at a discount. But the uncertain timeline and possibility of surgery make him too risky to recommend as a trade target. We’ll keep you updated on his progress this coming week.

Brock Bowers Expected To Play Week 3

Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) is expected to play vs. the Saints today, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Bowers got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday and is listed as questionable. Fowler makes no mention of a snap count for Bowers, although that doesn't necessarily mean he won't be on one. He's not the sure-fire elite fantasy start that he is when fully healthy, but Bowers still belongs in the vast majority of Week 3 fantasy lineups.

Mike Evans Expected To Play Week 3

49ers WR Mike Evans (hip) "plans to play" vs. the Cardinals this afternoon, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Evans is "good to go." He's listed as questionable after only getting in a limited practice on Friday, but this injury has sounded minor all along. We docked his projections slightly to account for some additional risk, but Evans still lands 22nd in the Week 3 WR rankings.

Zay Flowers Leaning Toward Sitting Week 3

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms colleague Jeremy Fowler's Saturday report that Ravens WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) will work out pregame before a decision is made on his status for today's tilt with the Cowboys. But Schefter adds, "the team doesn’t sound as if it is counting on him playing." That's been our vibe after Flowers only got in a limited practice on Friday this week. We won't get Baltimore's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET. But, barring a more positive report, Flowers should be on fantasy benches.
