Josh Downs Wants to be the Next DeForest Buckner
Colts WR Josh Downs has requested a trade, according to multiple reports.

Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle's status for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs will depend on how he progresses over the next few days, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Waddle aggravated a previous chest injury late in the Week 7 win over the Cardinals, per Rapoport. It at least sounds like he dodged a long-term absence, but Waddle owners should be making other plans for Week 8. We'll keep you updated on his status leading up to kickoff.
The Chiefs signed K Justin Tucker to their practice squad. It's Tucker's first job since being released by the Ravens in May 2025 amid allegations of sexual misconduct. K Harrison Butker has missed 11 of 16 FGs and an extra point this season. He's expected to kick for Kansas City vs. the Broncos this weekend but might be on a short leash. Avoid this kicker room in fantasy leagues for now.
The Colts are trading DT DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a fourth-round pick. It returns Buckner to the franchise that drafted him seventh overall back in 2016. San Francisco traded him to Indy in March 2020 -- after four seasons -- for a first-round pick. He was in the midst of his seventh Colts campaign. Buckner's in the final year of his contract and will turn 33 in mid-March.
Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder, foot) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough. He briefly exited this past weekend's game vs. the Lions but was able to finish out the contest. We'll see if he gets on the practice field tomorrow and how he's listed on the final injury report for Thursday night's game vs. the Panthers.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Bills this weekend, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jackson seemed close to playing last week, so close that CBS's Tracy Wolfson reported that the team was surprised that he didn't end up playing against the Bengals. But Rapoport hears that Jackson's injury was expected to cost him 2-3 games. He's missed 3 and is on track to return on Sunday.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy will be placed on IR with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Texans, GM Joe Schoen announced. That knocks Tracy out for at least the next 4 games, which makes Week 13 the earliest we'll see him again. Tracy can be dropped in the vast majority of redraft leagues. A Giants backfield that went 4 deep a couple of weeks ago is now down to just Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary. Skattebo has a prime opportunity to reclaim clear lead duties after a nice Week 7 showing. Singletary is worth stashing as a handcuff with an outside chance at standalone value if Skattebo falters again.
If you watched Monday night's Eagles-Cowboys game, then you probably saw a wincing Saquon Barkley more than once. Philly's starting RB played just 10 snaps, logging 7 carries and 2 catches on 2 targets while working through his hamstring issue as well as a new back injury. Barkley said after the game, though, that neither injury should be a big deal. He said the "hamstring came out great," according to ESPN's Tim McManus, and that he doesn't expect the back problem to cost him further time.
Jake Ferguson finished a game with 0 receptions for the first time since his rookie season in 2022. He accounted for just 1 target as his route share fell below 60% for a second consecutive week. It also now marks back-to-back games that he’s been out-scored by fellow TE Brevyn Spann-Ford.
CeeDee Lamb hauled in five of his team-high 12 targets for 74 yards and 2 TDs. He finished with 24.4 PPR points and a WR5 finish in Week 7. He’s now accumulated 4 WR1 weeks for the second most among all WRs this season.
Javonte Williams handled a season-high 25 rush attempts for a career-high 155 yards and a TD, finishing as the RB7 in Week 7 despite not seeing a target. He’s the first RB to finish as an RB1 without a target this season, and he’s now finished as an RB1 in more weeks than not.
Dak Prescott completed 15 of 27 attempts for 212 yards and 3 TDs while adding eight rushing yards and a 2-point conversion. He’s just the third QB this season to produce at least 3 TDs on 15 completions or fewer, on his way to finishing as the QB6 in Week 7.
Makai Lemon finished with a career-high 19.7 PPR points after hauling in seven of a team-high 8 targets for 67 yards and a TD against the Cowboys. He’s held a high route share since the season started, accounting for at least a 75% route share every week, but this performance is his first surpassing 10 PPR points.
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley came into Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys questionable with a hamstring injury. He was noticeably hobbled from his very first touch of the game. Barkley played limited snaps but touched the ball most times he was on the field. He totaled 71 yards and a score. But his last touch came late in the third quarter, when Barkley was deemed questionable to return with a back injury. So that's two ailments he's dealing with ahead of a short week. Consider Barkley iffy at best for Sunday's game vs. the Commanders. We'll keep you updated on his status. Philadelphia also lost RB Dameon Pierce to an undisclosed injury in the fourth quarter of tonight's game, leaving Elijah Mitchell as the team's last healthy RB. RB Tank Bigsby isn't eligible to return until Week 9, while RB Will Shipley is out until Week 11.
Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) will practice on Wednesday, HC Mike LaFleur said. Love sat out the last 2 games to rest up a left ankle injury. We'll see how he makes it through the practice week, but he should have a good chance to return for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. He'd carry some risk in his first game back, but that matchup would make him worth starting in most fantasy leagues. A healthy Love is still a good bet to resume lead-back duties for the Cardinals, even if they want to keep other RBs involved. Arizona notably has the fifth-easiest remaining RB schedule.
49ers WRs Mike Evans (Achilles, ribs) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) have a chance to return after the Week 8 bye, HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday. The Niners finally ran too thin at receiver in Week 7, resulting in their first loss and QB Brock Purdy's worst fantasy outing of the season. The bye comes at an excellent time for this offense. We'll keep you updated on Evans and Samuel when San Francisco gets back to work next week.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday that RB Christian McCaffrey was dealing with a "mild" hamstring strain during Sunday's game vs. the Falcons, rather than the previously reported quad. That makes it more surprising that McCaffrey was allowed to return to the game. Shanahan was "optimistic" that CMC will be ready to go following the Week 8 bye, per insider Cam Inman. We'll keep you updated on the situation when the Niners get back to work next week, but RB Kaelon Black should be rostered in virtually all fantasy leagues in the meantime.
Eagles TE Eli Stowers is active for tonight’s game vs. the Cowboys. It’s the rookie’s debut after missing the first 6 weeks with a hamstring injury. Stowers had a quiet training camp before going down in late August and isn’t a good bet for fantasy value any time soon. But we’ll keep an eye on his role in an Eagles offense that could certainly use weapons.
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Cowboys. There’s some workload and re-injury risk in his first action since Week 4, but Barkley is available to get into fantasy lineups if you were waiting on him.
Raiders QB Kirk Cousins delivered his fifth top-12 fantasy line among the past six weeks in Sunday's loss to the Rams. He threw for 295 yards on 26-of-44 passing, with 2 TDs and no turnovers. It was the second straight game and third among the past four in which Cousins attempted at least 40 passes. All thre of those games also found him completing less than 60% of his throws bue tallying 295+ yards. Cousins has hit 2+ TD passes in six of seven games for the year and currently leads the league with 16 scoring tosses.
