The Browns have released K Travis Coons. That means they'll roll with K Patrick Murray, who spent last year out of the league. He connected on 20 of 24 FG tries for the Bucs back in 2014. You can do better than Murray in your fantasy football draft, but he could emerge as a spot-start option later on this year if HC Hue Jackson gets the offense humming.
The Chargers have promoted K Travis Coons from their practice squad. He'll kick against the Browns tomorrow in place of K Nick Novak, who is struggling with a back injury. Coons is a viable spot starter with the Chargers sporting the week's highest implied total.
Update: The Chargers have placed Novak on IR.
Browns K Travis Coons (groin) is active for today’s game against the Seahawks. At less than 100% in a brutal matchup, Coons shouldn’t be in any fantasy lineups.
Browns K Travis Coons (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Seahawks after missing practice on Friday. We’ll see if Cleveland adds a kicker on Saturday, but it’s obviously a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.
