Ravens TE Hayden Hurst is undergoing foot surgery on Friday to repair a stress fracture in his foot. He'll have a screw inserted to stabilize the area. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Hurst is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, but that sounds very optimistic to us. Foot injuries tend to be extremely tricky -- and we often see setbacks and/or compensatory issues pop up. Hurst seemed set to play a significant role in Baltimore's passing game, but this news should knock him out of your draft plans. Baltimore will open the season with some combination of Nick Boyle, Maxx Williams and rookie Mark Andrews at TE. None of them are worth picks in your fantasy draft. Hurst's absence should just mean more targets for WRs Michael Crabtree and John Brown.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) isn't listed on the final injury report for Sunday's AFC Championship game vs. the Chiefs. He put in a full practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Hurst should be ready for his usual role this weekend.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst was added to Thursday's injury report and limited in practice with a calf. He missed 3 games late in the regular season with a calf injury -- although it's unclear if this is related. Check back Friday afternoon for another update on Hurst's status for this weekend's AFC Championship game vs. the Chiefs. His absence would be significant.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Bills. He'll play in that one after missing the past 3 games. Hurst has averaged 5.5 targets, 4.2 catches and 35 yards over 11 healthy games this season, ranking 8th among TEs in PPR points over that span. But the matchup against Buffalo's 2nd-ranked TE defense leaves Hurst outside our top-12 TEs for the week.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) Hurst was a full-go in Thursday's practice. This news puts him on track to return from his calf injury for Monday night's game vs. the Bills. While the game figures to be a high-scoring affair, Hurst's individual matchup is tough against the 2nd-ranked TE defense.
Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (calf) fully participated in practice on Thursday. We'll keep tabs on his status ahead of Week 17's game vs. the Bengals on Monday night. Check back tomorrow for an update.
