Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. WR Paul Richardson (shoulder, knee) is listed as doubtful and is unlikely to play. That leaves Josh Doctson, Maurice Harris, Brian Quick and Michael Floyd as Washington’s WRs. TE Jordan Reed should be busy again after seeing 9 targets last week.

Recent Shark Bites

The Athletic's Connor Hughes expects Jets WR Jamison Crowder to be a "reception animal" this season and believes he could "creep near or past 100 catches." We'll comfortably bet the under there -- but the takeaway is that Crowder is in line for big volume. "He and [QB Sam] Darnold found chemistry the moment they stepped on the field together," Hughes writes. "They see plays the exact same way, which helps the two connect when things break down." In the Jets' preseason opener, Darnold targeted Crowder on 2 of his 5 passes, completing both for 31 yards and a score. Crowder looks like a big value at his recent 14th-round ADP.

Just a day after leaving practice with a left foot injury, Jets WR Jamison Crowder gained clearance Tuesday to return, The Associated Press reports. The Jets didn't practice Tuesday, but the team tweeted that Crowder is expected to return to the field Wednesday.

Jets WR Jamison Crowder left Monday's practice with a left foot injury. HC Adam Gase said afterward that the wideout was headed for an MRI. We'll see about the extent of the injury. Crowder lost time the past 2 seasons to a high-ankle sprain and hamstring trouble.

The Jets have reached a deal with WR Jamison Crowder, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's not a great landing spot for Crowder's 2019 fantasy upside. The Jets already have WRs Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa in place, along with 2nd-year TE Chris Herndon. But Crowder disappointed big time in 2018, so things can't get much worse. His departure from Washington -- where HC Jay Gruden had expressed interest in re-signing him -- leaves targets for a WR corps that figures to rely on Josh Doctson and Trey Quinn, among others. Jets QB Sam Darnold, meanwhile, heads into his 2nd season with a solid-looking crew of pass-catchers.

Update: Crowder reports it's a 3-year pact worth $28.5 million, including $17 million guaranteed.

Redskins WRs Jamison Crowder and Trey Quinn are listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Eagles with their ankle injuries. Both guys were limited in practice all week. We're expecting Quinn to play, but his role would be uncertain if Crowder returns for this one. Neither guy can be trusted in fantasy lineups with the late kickoff.
