Panthers TE Greg Olsen said Monday that he's cleared the concussion protocol. Barring a setback, he'll return for this weekend's game against the Colts. Olsen should step back in as Carolina's lead pass-catching TE and will be a low-end fantasy starter for Week 16.
The Seahawks have activated TE Greg Olsen from IR. He missed the past 4 games after rupturing the plantar fascia in his left foot. Olsen returns to an offense that has been running a TE committee both with and without him. It’s not an attractive fantasy situation, especially for a matchup with 1 of the league’s top defenses
ESPN's Brady Henderson reports that Seahawks HC Pete Carroll says TE Greg Olsen is "challenging" to practice this week. Carroll says that Olsen "has a chance to get back very soon, maybe this week or next week." Olsen has been out since tearing the plantar fascia in his left foot in Week 11. It's getting a bit late for Olsen to be a fantasy factor this season. His return (or non-return) will impact the outlooks of Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister, though. None of the 3, of course, has been much of a fantasy factor all year.
Seahawks TE Greg Olsen ruptured the plantar fascia in his left foot in Thursday night's win over the Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Olsen is expected to miss about 2 months. That means he's done for at least the regular season and can be dropped from all fantasy rosters. Olsen's absence leaves Seattle with TEs Jacob Hollister and Will Dissly. Hollister out-targeted Dissly 3 to 1 on Thursday night and 16 to 9 over the last 5 games. Neither guy figures to emerge as a reliable fantasy play.
Seahawks TE Greg Olsen left early the 4th quarter of Thursday night's game against the Cardinals after suffering an apparent left ankle injury. It was a non-contact injury that left Olsen not able to put any weight on it, a worrisome situation. We'll watch for updates on his status. His absence would obviously help TEs Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister.
TE Greg Olsen has inked a 1-year, $7 million deal with the Seahawks. He reportedly chose Seattle over Buffalo and Washington. Olsen turns 35 in March and has missed 18 games over the last 3 seasons. But the money here suggests the Seahawks are planning to make Olsen their lead TE in 2020. If he can stay healthy, it wouldn't be a shock to see him return to TE1 territory alongside QB Russell Wilson.
