ESPN's Rich Cimini reports that Jets RB La'Mical Perine is expected to be the "feature back" the rest of the season as the team "tries to determine if he can be a future RB1." In 4 games since Le'Veon Bell's release, Frank Gore has out-carried Perine 44 to 32. It sounds like we should project the split to shift toward the rookie going forward. We'll see exactly how big a share he gets, but New York's offensive ineptitude leaves Perine as just a RB3 or flex for now.

Jets RB La'Mical Perine has tested positive for COVID and will miss Sunday's finale vs. the Patriots. With RB Frank Gore (lung) also out, the Jets are down to RBs Ty Johnson and Josh Adams.
