Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He went down in the second quarter of last week's game but returned to a slightly limited role in the second half. We're tentatively expecting Slayton to play vs. the Packers on Sunday but will keep you updated on his status.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (chest) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. He's evidently set to play vs. the Giants this weekend after getting knocked out of Monday night's loss to the Eagles. WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. We're expecting him back for Sunday's game, but the rookie isn't a bankable fantasy starter.

Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (right hand) was limited in Wednesday's practice. The fact that he was out there at all this early in the week should have him on track to play vs. the Bears on Sunday. But a QB with an issue with his throwing hand is always worth monitoring closely. McCarthy is only in play in 2-QB and superflex leagues this week, despite the plus matchup against Chicago's 30th-ranked QB defense.

Bears WR D.J. Moore (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He suffered this shoulder injury in the first half of last week's game but was able to return for the second. We're tentatively expecting Moore to play vs. the Vikings on Sunday but will keep you updated on his status. His absence would free up snaps for WR Luther Burden.

Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It's a positive step after he missed all three workouts last week. We'll keep you posted on Thomas' status over the next few days, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. WR Parker Washington (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other details on the hamstring issue. We'll see if Washington takes the field tomorrow.

Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Although he's listed with a knee, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Monday that the rookie escaped last week's win over the Steelers with just a quad bruise. Regardless, Gadsden is clearly on track to play in Sunday's game vs. the Jaguars' 31st-ranked TE defense.

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) got in a practice limited on Wednesday -- his first since going down in Week 5. "Godwin is working his way back," HC Todd Bowles said. "He’s making good strides." We'll see if Godwin is able to play vs. the Bills this weekend. He wouldn't be a recommended fantasy start coming off the lengthy absence, but he'd add risk to WR Tez Johnson's fantasy outlook.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It was his first official practice since going down in Week 4. "It was a walkthrough," HC Todd Bowles said of Irving's workout today. "We’ll see what he does tomorrow and Friday. It’s the first step to him starting to work his way back." Irving still sounds very uncertain for Sunday's game vs. the Bills, but he's at least trending in the right direction. We'll keep you updated on his status over the next few days.

Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's set to play vs. the Dolphins on Sunday morning after being knocked out of last week's loss to the Lions. Rodriguez was splitting early-down work with RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt before going down in that one. We're expecting a similar arrangement in Week 11, leaving both guys as weak fantasy plays.

Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Jets. He was limited in practice on the short week, so we're tentatively expecting Boutte back for Week 12. WRs Mack Hollins and Kyle Williams saw the biggest bumps in routes and targets with Boutte out last Sunday.

Patriots TE Austin Hooper (concussion) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Jets. He's run a route on 36% of pass plays and averaged 1.5 targets per game this season. Hooper's absence is a slight boost to TE Hunter Henry's Week 11 fantasy value.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is out for Thursday night's game vs. the Jets. He was limited in practice this week, giving him a chance to return for Week 12. RB Terrell Jennings (knee) was also limited in practice this week and is listed as questionable for the Jets game. RB TreVeyon Henderson is in for an expanded role again tomorrow, but he'll be particularly busy if Jennings can't go. We'll get New England's inactives a little before 7 pm ET tomorrow.

Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison underwent surgery for appendicitis and will be out for Sunday's game against the 49ers and potentially longer, according to both NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll look for a more concrete target for Harrison's return, but he's worth keeping stashed in all fantasy leagues for now.

Jaguars TE Brenton Strange (hip) has been designated to return from IR. He'll practice this week and is eligible to play vs. the Chargers on Sunday. Strange has been sidelined since going down in Week 5. Over the first four games of the season, he averaged 5.8 targets, 4.8 catches, and 45.5 yards, ranking TE11 in expected PPR points per game and 16th in actual points per game. All four of those games came with WRs Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas. The former is done for the season, while the latter is battling a high-ankle sprain. Strange has a shot to produce as a top-12 fantasy TE the rest of the way. We'll see if he's ready to play this weekend.

The Giants are moving QB Jameis Winston ahead of Russell Wilson on the depth chart, according to multiple reports. That's especially newsworthy this week, of course, because Jaxson Dart sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Bears. If the rookie's not ready for this Sunday's home date with the Packers, then Winston would start.

IR is "being considered" for Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins (foot), according to The Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson. Dobbins sought a second opinion on his foot injury, but we still haven't heard any further updates. If IR is even a possibility, though, it's likely that Dobbins will miss multiple games. IR would cost him at least four. Dobbins is worth keeping stashed as we await more information, but fantasy owners should at least plan on him missing Week 11. The Broncos then get a Week 12 bye. Dobbins' absence would likely mean a much bigger role for RB R.J. Harvey, particularly on early downs. The only other RBs on Denver's active roster are Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin.

Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Tuesday. That gives him a shot to return for Thursday night's game vs. the Jets. We'll see how Boutte is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Patriots RBs Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) and Terrell Jennings (knee) were limited in Tuesday's practice. That gives them both a chance to play vs. the Jets on Thursday night, although we won't be surprised if they're held out on the short week. We'll get New England's final injury report on Wednesday afternoon. RB TreVeyon Henderson will be in for a big workload if Stevenson and Jennings are out.

Jaguars WR Travis Hunter will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair the LCL in his knee, according to multiple reports. There was no additional damage to the knee, and Hunter is expected to resume football activities in six months, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Green Bay's first game since losing TE Tucker Kraft to an ACL tear found Luke Musgrave working as the clear lead tight end. His 52 total snaps trailed only WR Christian Watson and QB Jordan Love among non-linemen on offense. Musgrave drew just three targets, ranking sixth among Packers in that category. But he caught all three to finish third on the team in receptions amid a bad offensive outing. Musgrave collected 23 yards on those catches. He also drew a 21-yard pass-interference penalty midway through the fourth quarter to get Green Bay into the red zone on the drive that culminated in the Packers' only TD.
