Tank Bigsby Needs Surgery, Heading To IR

Eagles RB Tank Bigsby needs core-muscle surgery for an injury suffered in the Week 4 loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Bigsby will be placed on IR with the hope that he's back in "six weeks or shorter," per Rapoport. Philadelphia also lost RB Saquon Barkley to a hamstring injury on Sunday. We're still waiting to find out how long he'll be sidelined.

Kyle Monangai's Thumb Injury Not Serious

Bears RB Kyle Monangai's right thumb injury isn't serious, HC Ben Johnson said Monday. "We think he is going to be ok, so we'll see what it looks like as we go through the week here, but more of a day-to-day type deal," Johnson said. We'll track Monangai's status throughout the week, but it sounds like he has a good chance to play vs. the Packers this weekend. Monangai took over Chicago's backfield after D'Andre Swift's third-quarter fumble vs. the Jets, rushing 30 times for 146 yards and 2 TDs. We're betting on the backfield returning to status quo in Week 5, but there's certainly a chance Monangai takes on a bigger role if his thumb is ok.

        Tyquan Thornton Out 3-4 Months

Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton will undergo surgery on the ankle he dislocated in the Week 4 win over the Raiders and is expected to miss 3-4 months, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. The short end of that timeline would have Thornton back for the final game or two of the regular season. He could still be a factor in the playoffs, but Thornton can be dropped from all redraft rosters.

Lamar Jackson Iffy For Week 5

Ravens HC Jesse Minter admitted Monday that QB Lamar Jackson is uncertain for Sunday night's game vs. the Falcons after spraining an ankle in the Week 4 win over the Titans. "I don't think it's going to be crazy long-term," Minter added. It doesn't sound like Jackson is facing an extended absence, but fantasy owners should get a backup plan in place for Week 5. Jackson's absence would leave Tyler Huntley under center for Baltimore. He owns a career 67% completion rate but just 5.9 yards per attempt. Huntley played 2 full games last year and posted 186-1-0 and 107-1-0 passing lines. He'd clearly be a big downgrade for WR Zay Flowers and the rest of Baltimore's passing game.

Tee Higgins "Day To Day" With Adductor Injury

Bengals WR Tee Higgins is considered "day to day" with the adductor injury he suffered in the Week 4 loss to the Jaguars, HC Zac Taylor said Monday. Higgins briefly tried to play through the injury in Jacksonville before eventually exiting for good in the fourth quarter. It sounds like he dodged a significant injury, but fantasy owners should still be lining up a backup plan for Week 5. We'll keep you updated on Higgins' status throughout this weekend.

Zach Charbonnet Wont Play Week 5

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) won't play against the 49ers this weekend, HC Mike Macdonald said Monday. Charbonnet is expected to work into team drills in practice this week, though, Macdonald added. That could set him up to make his 2026 debut in Week 6 against the Broncos. It certainly looks like he'll make it back before RB Jadarian Price, who's out until at least Week 8. Charbonnet is worth stashing in most fantasy leagues. Emanuel Wilson will get another crack at lead duties this Sunday after racking up 120 total yards and 2 TDs in the Week 4 win over the Chargers.

Tucker Kraft Finally Records a TE1 Line

Packers TE Tucker Kraft posted his best fantasy line of the season in Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay: 6 catches, 42 yards, and his first TD of 2026. His 23.3% target share tied for the team lead.

Tyson Bagent Will Start Week 5

Bears QB Tyson Bagent will start Sunday's game vs. the Packers, HC Ben Johnson said. The fact that QB Caleb Williams (hamstring) is being ruled out this early in the week means he's not particularly close to a return. Consider him iffy at best for Week 6. Bagent didn't post a big fantasy line in Sunday's win over the Jets, but he played well, completing 74% of the passes at 7.9 yards per attempt. He's squarely in play in 2-QB and superflex leagues this week, although you should be able to do better in 1-QB leagues.

Pat Bryant Out "A Few Weeks" With Sprained Ankle

Broncos WR Pat Bryant is expected to miss "a few weeks" with a sprained ankle suffered in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Denver's bye doesn't come until Week 10, so Bryant won't get any help there. He ranks third among Broncos WRs with a 63% route rate this season but has drawn just 12 targets on an 8.9% share. Troy Franklin figures to step in as Denver's No. 3 WR for as long as Bryant is out but isn't worth adding to fantasy rosters.

Seattle Win Halves Sam Darnold's Passing Volume

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold threw for just 168 yards on 13-of-22 passing in Sunday's win over the Chargers. He found RB Emanuel Wilson and WR Tory Horton for TDs while adding 1 INT (on a bad first-quarter sideline throw right after his team had picked off Justin Herbert).

Emanuel Wilson Cruelly Gets the Workload Kenneth Walker Couldn't

Seahawks RB Emanuel Wilson racked up 21 carries for 81 yards and a TD in Sunday's win over the Chargers, adding 3 catches for 39 yards and another TD on 4 targets. He operated as the clear backfield leader ahead of George Holani (7 carries, 1 target) in the first game after Seattle placed rookie RB Jadarian Price on IR. The playing-time gap didn't up as large as the touch counts would signal, though. Wilson played 36 snaps (60% of the team total) to 22 for Holani. He ran 12 routes (46.2% of Seattle dropbacks) to Holani's 8.

        Y'all Remember Quentin Johnston?

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston managed just 1 catch among 2 targets in Sunday's loss at Seattle. That lone reception did gobble up 44 yards, at least, which landed him second among Chargers in receiving yards for the game. But he tied RB Omarion Hampton and WR Ladd McConkey (who left in the first half) for just fifth on the team in targets. Tre' Harris led the team's WRs with 5 targets and 3 catches for a team-high 60 yards.

Be Careful About How You Assess Oronde Gadsden's Week 4

TE Oronde Gadsden II drew a team-high 8 targets in Sunday's loss at Seattle. He turned that into 5 catches (tied for the team lead) and 36 yards (third). Gadsden got relatively involved early, leading the Chargers with 3 first-half targets, all of them before the middle of the second quarter. RB Keaton Mitchell ranked second with 6 targets. WR Tre Harris followed with 5.

Things Just Got Even Worse for Omarion Hampton

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton has gotten off to a rough usage start in four games under new OC Mike McDaniel. Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, however, marked the first time he has watched a teammate amass more carries. Keaton Mitchell rushed a team-high 10 times for 39 yards. Hampton drew 9 carries but did take them for 45 yards and a TD. Kimani Vidal rushed five times for 25 yards. Both Mitchell (6) and Vidal (3) beat Hampton's 2 targets. Hampton caught both of his for 8 yards. Mitchell tied for the team lead with 5 catches, gaining 24 yards. Vidal supplied 2 catches for 11 yards.
