Riley has MCL sprain

Washington LB Perry Riley sprained his left MCL in Monday night's loss to the Seahawks.  He'll have an MRI Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury, which reportedly has HC Jay Gruden worried.  Will Compton replaced Riley on Monday night.  His continued absence should add a little tackle upside to the other ILB starter, Keenan Robinson.

Washington ILB Perry Riley suffered a stress fracture in his right foot in Thursday's practice. He had surgery Friday and is expected to miss 3 to 6 weeks, according to the Washington Post. With 5 games left, that might cost Riley the rest of the season. He's certainly not worth clinging to in IDP leagues either way. Mason Foster -- who signed with the team in October -- will fill in. The other ILB starter, Keenan Robinson, remains a question mark after missing the past 3 games with a shoulder injury. He put in limited practices Thursday and Friday but reportedly has yet to regain full range of motion. Will Compton has been starting in his place.

Washington ILB Perry Riley left Sunday's win over the Buccaneers with a strained lower-leg muscle. That's bad news for a guy who has already missed time with a calf injury. Fortunately, Washington gets a Week 8 bye. We'll check on Riley's status on the other side (unless there's an update in the meantime).
