Cowboys K Dan Bailey (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Bengals. He only put in 1 limited practice on Friday. The Cowboys worked out other Ks this week but have yet to sign one and are "still hoping" Bailey plays on Sunday. We'd avoid the situation in Week 5 fantasy lineups.
The Cowboys have surprisingly cut K Dan Bailey after he spent 11 years with the team, opting to go with Brett Maher. Maher originally signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent way back in 2013, then spent a couple of weeks with the Cowboys after the Jets cut him. Maher then kicked in the CFL for 4 seasons, connecting on 78% of FG attempts. Bailey had been a reliable fantasy kicker, but we wouldn't trust Maher among the top 12.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that K Dan Bailey is dealing with a "sensitive" hamstring. He wasn't listed on the Week 14 injury report but missed 2 long FGs and an XP (the 1st of his career) in the win over the Giants. We'll keep an eye on Bailey this week, but he's a bit of a risky Week 15 fantasy option.
Cowboys K Dan Bailey (groin) is active for today's game against the Chargers. Fill-in K Mike Nugent, meanwhile, is inactive. That indicates Dallas isn't worried about Bailey making it through the game, so you shouldn't either if you were planning on using a Dallas kicker.
Cowboys K Dan Bailey (groin) put in a limited week of practice and is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Chargers. We'll find out if he's active around 3 pm ET tomorrow. We'd try to avoid using Bailey in fantasy lineups in his 1st action in a month.
Cowboys K Dan Bailey will miss 4+ weeks with his groin injury, VP Stephen Jones said Friday. The team hasn't placed Bailey on IR, so they obviously expect him back in fewer than 8 weeks. Still, he isn't worth carrying on fantasy rosters. Mike Nugent will kick for Dallas while Bailey is sidelined.
