Washington has released LB Zach Brown, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Brown graded out #3 among all LBs on Pro Football Focus last season but checked in much worse the year before. Washington now makes the 3rd team that has either booted Brown or let him walk in free agency -- and the 2nd of 3 teams to decrease Brown's playing time before he left. Brown has showed at each stop that he can put up strong fantasy numbers when starting. We'll see where he lands this time, heading into his age-30 season.
Washington ILB Zach Brown is active for today's game against the Packers. He's a weaker-than-usual IDP option, however. Brown played just 65% of the snaps in Week 1 and then 84% in Week 2, despite entering each game without landing on the injury report. His questionable tag for Week 3 certainly doesn't indicate that he's past the oblique injury today.
Washington LB Zach Brown is questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers. He put in limited practices Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. Brown played less than 100% of the snaps each of the 1st 2 weeks despite not appearing on the injury report either time. So he'll be tough to trust in IDP lineups for Week 3 even if active.
Washington on Thursday re-signed ILB Zach Brown to a 3-year deal with $24 million. We don't know the specific terms beyond that yet, but it's tough to imagine the team actually paying Brown $8 million per year over the next 3. The Titans and Bills already let Brown walk from starting gigs, with Buffalo watching him leave for just a 1-year, $2.3 million contract last offseason. When Brown's in the lineup, though, he has repeatedly delivered fantasy numbers. And the new deal at least makes him a strong IDP candidate for 2018.
Washington ILB Zach Brown will miss his 3rd straight game Sunday against the Giants. He's dealing with knee and Achilles' tendon injuries. The D will again run with ILBs Zach Vigil and Martrell Spaight, if Spaight's ready to go. He's questionable for the game after losing practice time to illness and ankle designations this week. OLB Ryan Kerrigan is also questionable with a calf injury that arose during the week, keeping him out of Thursday's practice before allowing a limited Friday workout.
Washington has ruled ILB Zach Brown out for the 2nd straight game in Week 16 with an Achilles' tendon injury that has dogged him for a while. That again leaves Zach Vigil and Martrell Spaight starting inside for Washington's D. Vigil remains the usable of the 2 in IDP leagues, though neither is an exciting option.
