The Falcons believe S Keanu Neal tore his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's loss to the Colts. Kemal Ishmael filled in for Neal on Sunday and finished with 6 tackles. He'll be worth a look in plenty of IDP leagues this week.

Falcons S Keanu Neal suffered a torn left ACL in Thursday night's loss to the Eagles and will miss the rest of the season. Second-year S Damontae Kazee stepped in to play about half the snaps against the Eagles and is expected to start in Neal's place. Kazee snagged 15 INTs over his final 2 seasons at San Diego State and defensed 29 passes for his career. He's worth a look in deeper IDP leagues.

Falcons S Keanu Neal left Thursday night's loss to the Eagles in the 3rd quarter with a knee injury. HC Dan Quinn said after the game, though, that the issue doesn't appear to be serious, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure. Neal will have 10 days to get ready for Week 2. We'll keep an eye on his status when Week 2 practices begin.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Tuesday that he expects to have S Keanu Neal return to the field Thursday for the team's 1st full practice of the week. Neal has been out since an August knee scope to fix a preseason injury. We'll see whether he's ready to play Monday night. IDP owners shouldn't plan to use the rookie this week, especially given the Monday night kickoff. But Neal's return will also boot Kemal Ishmael -- who delivered 15 total tackles at Oakland in Week 2 -- back to a reserve role.

Falcons S Keanu Neal will need "minor" knee surgery after suffering an injury in Thursday night's game against the Dolphins, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He's expected to miss 3-4 weeks, which would likely cost the rookie the 1st couple of regular-season games. That obviously impacts his outlook for IDP drafts. The Atlanta team D doesn't look attractive anyway.

The Falcons picked S Keanu Neal 17th in the 1st round of the NFL Draft. He'll likely step in as the starting SS right away and could deliver nice tackle numbers behind a weak LB corps.
