Welp, apparently the Eagles quickly went from not even discussing IR for QB Jalen Hurts to deciding that was the way to go. Placing the QB on IR means he'll miss at least the next four games, while the most commonly discussed timeline for his return from a blood clot has been at least six weeks. The exact length, of course, will depend on how his body reacts to the treatment.

The Steelers have added TE Pat Freiermuth to the injury report and labeled him questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. There don't seem to be any details available beyond that yet, which indicates Freiermuth developed the calf issue between the end of Friday's practice and midday Saturday. We'll have to watch his status ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Commanders "plan" to rule RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt out for Monday night's game against the 49ers because of his groin injury. Croskey-Merritt missed practice all week.

Update: Croskey-Merritt has been ruled out. HC Dan Quinn said he aggravated the groin injury he suffered in late August. JCM at least gets a well-timed Week 7 bye.

Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf has been removed from the Week 6 injury report. He was originally listed as questionable after an illness limited him in Friday's practice, but he should be ready for his usual role vs. the Buccaneers tomorrow.

There's "optimism" that Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) will be able to return for next weekend's game vs. the Panthers, The Ringer's Tom Pelissero reports. Mayfield was off to a rough start before dislocating his right thumb in Week 3, averaging just 6.4 yards per attempt with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. He won't be a QB1 consideration next week, but his return will undoubtedly be good news for WRs Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin.

ESPN reports that the Eagles have "not even discussed the possibility of injured reserve" for QB Jalen Hurts as he deals with a superficial blood clot.

The Patriots will "likely" activate WR A.J. Brown from IR this afternoon, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Brown is about 5.5 weeks removed from a high-ankle sprain that was originally expected to cost him 6 weeks. He was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. But Brown is evidently set to play against the Jets tomorrow. He'll carry more risk than usual coming off the injury but will be worth getting back into most fantasy lineups. We'll look for any reports on limited playing time for Brown. His return is a boost to the red-hot Drake Maye and makes New England's other pass catchers tough to trust in fantasy lineups.

Bills WR D.J. Moore (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders after getting in just a limited practice on Friday. It’s the same boat he was in last week before missing the Rams game. Moore should theoretically be healthier another week removed from re-injuring his shoulder, but his status for Sunday’s game remains uncertain. Hopefully we’ll get an update on Sunday morning because we won’t get Buffalo’s inactives until a little before 3 pm ET that afternoon.

Commanders WR Stefon Diggs (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Friday. That at least gives him a chance to play vs. the 49ers on Monday night. We'll see what Diggs does on Saturday and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Colts TE Tyler Warren (groin) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday. That likely means Warren was injured on Friday, which would put his status for this one in serious doubt. We’ll look for more updates on the situation and get the Colts’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (thigh) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. He’ll be ready for his typical workload in Sunday night’s likely shootout vs. the Packers.

Browns RB Quinshon Judkins (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens. He only got in a limited practice on Friday and seems truly iffy for this one. RB Dylan Sampson (knee) was designated to return from IR this week but has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. With RB Raheim Sanders (hip) on IR, Judkins’ absence would leave the Browns with RBs Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime. We’ll keep you posted on Judkins’ status.

Browns WR KC Concepcion (concussion) graduated to a full practice on Friday and is off the final Week 6 injury report. He'll play on Sunday vs. the Ravens, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to slot receivers this season. Concepcion is in play as a WR3 or flex in PPR leagues.

Buccaneers RB Sean Tucker (quad) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Steelers after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Tucker isn’t a fantasy option, but his absence would free up goal-line opportunities for RB Bucky Irving.

Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) remained sidelined in practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. QB Jalon Daniels makes his third straight start. He finished QB22 and QB20 in fantasy points in the first two. The rookie is in play in 2-QB and superflex leagues thanks to his rushing ability, but he's a significant downgrade for Tampa Bay's pass catchers.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. RB Will Shipley (foot) joined RB Tank Bigsby on IR, leaving Dameon Pierce as Philly’s lead back for this one. It’s tough to get excited about the upside in this Tanner McKee-led offense with a poor offensive line. But Pierce should get decent volume against a Carolina team that sits 28th in our Run Defense Power Rankings.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is off the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. “I’m good,” Smith said after the workout. There’s always some re-injury risk with a guy coming back from a hamstring injury, and Smith will be catching passes from QB Tanner McKee on Sunday. But he gets a plus matchup against a Panthers secondary missing its top 2 CBs. WRs Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) and Marquise Brown (ankle) are also off the final injury report but aren’t viable fantasy starts with Smith back.

Chargers WRs Ladd McConkey (foot) and Quentin Johnston (chest) are off the final Week 6 injury report. Both guys will be back for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs after missing last week. Kansas City has allowed the fewest fantasy points to outside WRs this season, compared to the 12th-fewest to slot receivers. The matchup is much better for McConkey, putting him in play as a WR3. Try to keep Johnston on fantasy benches. WR Tre Harris (hamstring) is out for Week 6.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (toe) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He was limited in the final 2 practices of the week but is evidently in no danger of missing Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. Flowers downgrades to WR2 status with QB Tyler Huntley back under center for Baltimore. WR Ja’Kobi Lane (wrist) is also listed as questionable after a full week of practice. We'll see if the rookie is activated from IR on Saturday.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Colts. He was sidelined on Thursday but returned to a full practice on Friday. We’re expecting him to be ready for his usual change-of-pace role behind Tony Pollard against Indianapolis.
