Benjamin a healthy scratch

Texans RB Eno Benjamin is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Commanders. It's not a big surprise considering he just joined the team earlier this week. RB Rex Burkhead will continue in his passing-down role for at least 1 more game.

The Saints claimed RB Eno Benjamin off waivers. He's bounced from Arizona to Houston to New Orleans over the past month. Benjamin has a chance to climb to #2 on the Saints' RB depth chart (ahead of David Johnson and Dwayne Washington) by the end of the season, but he's only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

The Texans claimed RB Eno Benjamin off waivers from the Cardinals. Benjamin could immediately push RB Rex Burkhead for a passing-down role in Houston, but we doubt he tangibly impacts RB Dameon Pierce's workload. Consider Benjamin the Pierce handcuff going forward.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals have informed RB Eno Benjamin that they're releasing him. It's a surprising move given that Benjamin spent 3 games as starter this year, while James Conner was out. He played just 1 offensive snap in Sunday's win over the Rams, though, despite being active and healthy. It appears the team will proceed with Keaontay Ingram and Darrel Williams behind Conner. (Williams has at least 2 more games on IR.)

Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin mustered only 45 total yards against the Vikings in Week 8. He saw 9 carries, 4 more than teammate Darrel Williams. The real issue here was a Cardinals offense that went pass heavy following a 14-3 2nd quarter deficit. Now, Week 9 could bring the return of James Conner, who’s been sidelined since Week 5. That makes Benjamin much more of a bench stash vs. an RB2/FLEX.

Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin (foot) isn't listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He put in a full practice on Wednesday, so the foot shouldn't be an issue. If RB James Conner remains out with his rib injury, Benjamin will be a RB2 play vs. the Saints on Thursday night.
