Malik Nabers Keeps Trending Up Ahead Of Week 1

Giants WR Malik Nabers (knee) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's clearly set to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday night. We'll see exactly how much he plays in his first action since last September's ACL tear, but this full practice bodes well. Nabers isn't the must-start that he typically is, but he's climbing our Week 1 WR rankings.

Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He missed some time in August with this groin issue but has been back at practice since September 1. We're expecting JCM to play vs. the Eagles this weekend but will keep you updated on his status.

Ashton Jeanty Ready For Full Workload?

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He's clearly set to play vs. the Dolphins this weekend and might be ready for something very close to his usual role. Barring a negative report between now and kickoff, Jeanty belongs in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

        A.J. Brown Hurts Right Ankle

Patriots WR A.J. Brown is questionable to return to Thursday night's game vs. the Seahawks with a right ankle injury. The ankle got rolled up on on an incompletion early in the third quarter. Brown was in obvious discomfort on the field and headed into the medical tent with trainers. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Brown has been ruled out.

Keaton Mitchell Limited Wednesday With Hamstring

Chargers RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He missed time late in the summer with this hamstring issue but appears on track to play vs. the Cardinals this weekend. We'll see how big a role Mitchell plays behind Omarion Hampton, but he's not a recommended Week 1 fantasy start.

        Jeremiyah Love Limited Wednesday

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's seemingly on track to make his debut vs. the Chargers this weekend, but it's unclear how big a role the rookie will play coming off his high-ankle sprain. We'll keep an eye on Love's status over the next few days and look for reports on Arizona's plans for him.

Sam Darnold Won't Return To Opener

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold will not return to Thursday night's opener vs. the Patriots. He's heading off-site to undergo further testing on the hip, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We should learn more about Darnold's status over the next 24 hours. QB Drew Lock will be at the controls for as long as Darnold is out. Lock has all the arm talent in the world but isn't as accurate or reliable as Darnold.

        Alec Pierce Limited Wednesday

Colts WR Alec Pierce (heel) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He's on track to play vs. the Ravens this weekend, but it's unclear how big a role he's ready for after missing almost the entire offseason. Pierce shouldn't be in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Zay Flowers Limited Wednesday With Hamstring

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He missed a couple of weeks in August with this hamstring issue but doesn't sound worried about his Week 1 availability. “I feel great," Flowers said Wednesday. "I feel better than ever." We'll keep you updated on his status leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Colts, but Flowers can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now.

Alvin Kamara Back At Practice, In Play For Week 1?

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's three weeks removed from an MCL injury that was expected to cost him a month, but it looks like he at least has a chance to play vs. the Lions this weekend. Kamara shouldn't be in fantasy lineups, but his availability would put a dent in RB Travis Etienne's outlook.

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold suffered an apparent right hip injury at the end of a sack on the first possession of Thursday night's opener vs. the Patriots. Jonathon Brooks Limited Wednesday With Groin

Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He'd been working off to the side of practice for the past week with what we now know is a groin issue. The limited practice should have Brooks on track to play vs. the Bears on Sunday, but he'd be a shaky fantasy start. RB Chuba Hubbard is off the Week 1 injury report after missing much of August with a hamstring injury.
