The Cowboys apparently do not plan to give WR George Pickens a long-term contract ahead of this coming season. Dallas used the franchise tag to keep Pickens off the free-agent market after his strong first season following his trade from Pittsburgh. Pickens has yet to sign his franchise tender.
Colts QB Daniel Jones has taken a step forward in his recovery, recently resuming dropbacks and throwing. The 28-year-old suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon on December 28 and underwent surgery two days later.
Ravens DL Nnamdi Madubuike had neck surgery last week and is expected to be ready to play this season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bills WR Khalil Shakir is recovering from offseason ankle surgery, GM Brandon Beane said Monday. Shakir did "some things" on the team's first day of offseason activities, Beane added, so it doesn't sound like this will have any impact on his 2026 campaign.
Colts GM Chris Ballard revealed Monday that WR Alec Pierce recently had ankle surgery. Pierce is expected to need about three months to recover and "should be back sometime during training camp," according to James Boyd of The Athletic.
Tests at the Combine revealed a cyst on the spine of LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Doctors believe that was the root cause of the oblique pain that Nussmeier dealt with throughout the 2025 season. Nussmeier has been asymptomatic since the Senior Bowl in late January and carries no further short- or long-term risk, per Pelissero.
The Eagles continue to discuss an A.J. Brown trade, and the Patriots remain highly interested in acquiring him. Brown has been at the center of trade rumors for most of the offseason, but his contract made a pre-June 1st move unlikely. Now, with both sides interested in a deal, Brown appears likely to head to New England as Drake Maye's long-term No. 1 WR.
WR Zachariah Branch was arrested following Georgia's spring game and charged with obstructing public sidewalks/streets and obstructing a law enforcement official, Connor Riley of Dawg Nation reports. Branch was booked at 1:26 am on Sunday and released on $39 bond at 3:44. Both charges are misdemeanors.
The Giants are trading DT Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals for the 10th overall pick in this year's draft. That means the Giants will be picking fifth and 10th. Lawrence recently requested a trade and indicated his desire to leave was not just about money. Multiple reports say, however, that the 28-year-old will be getting a contract extension from Cincinnati.
Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson worked out in front of 20 NFL teams on Friday and solidified his first-round status, per ESPN’s Matt Miller. Tyson missed the NFL Combine and Arizona State’s Pro Day while recovering from a hamstring injury that first surfaced in October and was aggravated in November.

Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said Wednesday that RB De'Von Achane is "not available for trade." Sullivan noted that he's had "some positive conversations" in recent days regarding a contract extension for the 24-year-old. Achane is scheduled to enter the final year of his rookie contract.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky confirms that Packers WR Matthew Golden is in line to play a bigger role in 2026, following a quiet rookie season. Green Bay let WR Romeo Doubs depart in free agency and then traded WR Dontayvion Wicks to Philadelphia. That leaves Golden as the favorite for a starting outside spot opposite WR Christian Watson, with WR Jayden Reed in the slot. "Despite a rookie season in which the Packers never seemed to make Golden a focal point of the offense, they came away feeling the 2025 first-round pick was ready for more," Demovsky writes.
Texans GM Nick Caserio chose his words carefully when responding to a question about WR Tank Dell's availability for the start of training camp. Dell is working his way back from ACL, MCL, LCL, and meniscus injuries suffered in December 2024. "With Tank, honestly, it’s probably a day to day, and we’ll kinda see where he is," Caserio said. "Probably have a better idea as we get through the spring, of what his availability is gonna be in training camp. He’s been here pretty religiously since he’s been able to do more, as he’s kinda gotten out of the rehab stage."
Bills GM Brandon Beane backed WR Keon Coleman in an interview with The Athletic released today. He said it wasn’t “an ability thing” with Coleman, that he has “shown plenty.", and that the Bills are “putting all our eggs in [Coleman’s] basket to come back for year three and be a part of this group, however that is.” But that stance clashes with what Bills Owner Terry Pegula said in January, when he blamed the former coaching staff for pushing to “draft Keon” with Beane sitting next to him and offering little pushback. The Keon Coleman situation remains muddled.

Jacksonville's signing of RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. in free agency has generated debate on whether he or second-year RB Bhayshul Tuten would prove to be the better 2026 fantasy football value.
