Jags TE Marcedes Lewis missed a career-high 5 games last year due to a calf injury.  He also turned 30 in March.  Still, the veteran is optimistic that he’ll rebound from a disappointing campaign. “I felt like I had a great offseason – the best offseason I’ve had,” Lewis said. “I just got to a point where I felt really good. I thought, ‘I can’t believe I’m going into my ninth year and I actually feel this good. Not just my body, but my spirit.’”  Lewis butted heads with former HC Mike Mularkey, but he’s a huge fan of Gus Bradley.  “I tell people I’m close to, ‘The people I believe in the most are the people who give you the same thing every day,’” Lewis said. “Gus hasn’t changed.”  If the 6’6 TE remains healthy, he’ll carry decent TD upside in a thin passing offense.  Lewis quietly scored in every game from Week 13 to Week 16 last season.  He’s squarely on the TE2 radar.

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis (ankle) is set to return following the team's Week 11 bye.  "I had two good weeks of practice," he said. "And I'm ready to go."   Lewis has been out since Week 2 but totaled 8 catches, 106 yards and a score in his 2 appearances this season.  In his absence, TE Clay Harbor has averaged 4.6 targets and 3.6 catches per game.  The TE has been a significant part of Jacksonville's passing game all year, which could make Lewis a spot-start option down the stretch.

The Jaguars have placed TE Marcedes Lewis on IR with the designation to return.  That means Lewis can't practice for 6 weeks and then can't play in a game for another 2 weeks after that.  The 8 weeks total is the long end of the original timetable, but it certainly makes sense for the struggling Jags to free up a roster spot.  As we said previously, you can feel free to drop Lewis from your roster for a more available option.

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.  Lewis was off to a start nice with a 6-35 line in the opener and a 63-yard TD in Week 2.  He's droppable in all fantasy leagues now.  

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis suffered an ankle injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Redskins.  He's been ruled out for the rest of the contest.  We should get an update on his status tonight or tomorrow.

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis is dealing with a "knee capsule injury," the team announced Monday.  He made it through Week 1 and is expected to be available for Week 2 against the Redskins.  We'll keep an eye on Lewis, but it doesn't sound like a serious concern.  He caught 6 balls for 35 yards in the opener.
