Raiders WR Rod Streater injured his left leg in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Patriots. He needed a cart to get to the locker room. Streater was questionable on this week's injury report with a hip, so this might be related.
Update: Streater is questionable to return with a foot injury.
The 49ers on Saturday acquired veteran WR Rod Streater from the Chiefs. The former Raider joins an utterly unexciting crew of pass-catchers that recently lost WR Bruce Ellington for the season. With pedestrian QB Blaine Gabbert, a shorter-range target such as Streater (as opposed to downfield threat Torrey Smith) could carve out an important role before too long. He'll be worth monitoring, though we wouldn't draft him in common redraft formats.
The Raiders activated WR Rod Streater Sunday morning from the non-football injury list, in time for him to take part in Sunday's practice. According to CSN Bay Area, Streater dealt with an undisclosed illness that caused him to lose some weight and require some conditioning work. He returns to WR corps with buzz coming from rookie Amari Cooper and free-agent addition Michael Crabtree this offseason. Even Kenbrell Thompkins has reportedly performed well as the 3rd receiver. Streater has proved to be a solid short to mid-range target in the past, though. We'll see what kind of role he can carve out in the coming weeks.
The Raiders have placed WR Rod Streater (foot) on IR-designated-for-return. He'll be eligible to return for Week 13. Streater isn't worth rostering in any redraft leagues. Oakland will come out of its Week 5 bye with James Jones and Andre Holmes atop the WR depth chart.
Raiders WR Rod Streater's agent says his client will miss 4-5 weeks after undergoing "minor" foot surgery. Considering the source, that's likely the short end of the timetable. Don't be surprised if Streater is out 6-8 weeks. He should be dropped in all fantasy leagues. WR James Jones figures to dominate targets while Streater is out. Denarius Moore and Andre Holmes will be the #2 and #3 WRs.
Raiders WR Rod Streater suffered a broken foot in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. It'll cost him multiple weeks and potentially the rest of the season depending on the location of the break. We should learn more tomorrow, but Streater is droppable in all leagues now. Oakland will move forward with James Jones, Denarius Moore and Andre Holmes as its top 3 WRs.
