The 49ers will deploy a RB-by-committee this season, according to Joe Fann of the team's official website.  Fann wrote that in an article about RB Kendall Hunter's successful recovery from last year's torn ACL.  "Hunter will be a featured piece in that offensive scheme as one of the ball-carriers in the team’s running back by committee," Fann said. "He’ll likely split carries primarily with second-year back Carlos Hyde and veteran free-agent Reggie Bush."  The article makes no mention of RB Mike Davis, but the rookie could also earn a role at some point this season.  Hyde is still the clear favorite to lead this backfield in touches, but don't expect him to be a true workhorse.  He's overvalued at his mid-3rd-round PPR ADP.

The Jaguars released RB Carlos Hyde. This move was a lock with HC Urban Meyer no longer in Jacksonville. The 31-year-old Hyde mustered just 3.5 yards per carry on 72 attempts last year. He's a long shot to emerge as a significant contributor in 2022.
