McPhee questionable again

Bears OLB Pernell McPhee is officially questionable for Sunday against the Lions, but he has played through the shoulder issue the past 2 weeks. Expect him to be a full-go and to once again be worth a spot in your IDP lineup if you play in a sack-favoring scoring system.

The Bears on Thursday activated OLB Pernell McPhee from the PUP list. McPhee had been out since having offseason knee surgery but should get worked back into the OLB rotation. Willie Young has played well recently, including 5 sacks over the 2 games leading up to Thursday night's visit to Green Bay. Rookie Leonard Floyd has been dealing with a calf injury and has lacked the time to grow in the defense this season. Chicago entered Week 7 tied for 12th in the league in sacks.

The Bears have placed OLB Pernell McPhee on the PUP list for the regular season. That means he'll miss at least the 1st 6 games. McPhee has yet to return from the field following offseason knee surgery to fix an issue that dogged him all last season. He's not usable in redraft fantasy football leagues. McPhee's absence hurts the Chicago team D, but that unit's only in play as a matchup option anyway.
