The Texans selected RB Tyler Ervin in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The San Jose State product goes just 5’10, 192 pounds and projects as a change-of-pace type in the NFL. But he averaged 5.5 yards per carry and, more importantly, totaled 74 catches over the last 2 seasons. He also landed in the 74th percentile among RBs in SPARQ score and has been compared to Darren Sproles. Ervin will join Houston’s backfield alongside Lamar Miller, a strong pass-catcher in his own right. It’s not a great landing spot, but Ervin is still worth a look in the later rounds of your dynasty rookie draft.

Packers RB Tyler Ervin is expected to get "the bulk of the carries" against the 49ers tonight, according to NFL Network's Peter Schrager. That presumably means RB Aaron Jones (calf) will be inactive, leaving the backfield to Ervin and Dexter Williams. Ervin goes just 5'10 and 192 pounds, so we're not expecting a big ball-carrying role.
