Rams WR Cooper Kupp was carted off the field with a left leg injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Broncos. We'll pass along an update when we get one, but this obviously has the looks of a serious injury. Kupp's absence elevates WR Josh Reynolds into a top 3 role.
UPDATE: Kupp, somewhat miraculously, returned for the 2nd half.
Rams WR Cooper Kupp tells the team website, "I think I'm where I'm supposed to be" in his recovery from the November ACL tear and resulting surgery. Kupp recently got back on the field for running and agility drills, and a member of the training staff echoed his assessment of the process. We'll obviously need to keep an eye on Kupp through the offseason and then training camp, but he seems on track for the beginning of the 2019 season. That said, his current PlayDraft ADP or WR21 in the middle of Round 5 strikes us as a bit high.
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Rams WR Cooper Kupp tore his left ACL in Sunday's win over the Seahawks. That ends his season and gives him about 10 months to get ready for the start of the 2019 campaign. Kupp's absence moves Josh Reynolds back into the #3 WR role and puts him on the WR4 radar in fantasy football. He posted 1-19 and 3-42-2 lines while seeing 6 total targets in the 2 games Kupp missed earlier this season. We could also see expanded roles for TEs Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee -- although neither guy is a reliable fantasy option yet.
Former NFL head team Dr. David Chao believes Rams WR Cooper Kupp tore his left ACL in Sunday's game against the Seahawks. That’d be a season-ender. We should get confirmation within the next 24 hours. Josh Reynolds, who will step into the #3 WR role in 1 of the league's best offenses, is worth adding in most fantasy leagues. He posted 1-19 and 3-42-2 lines in the 2 games Kupp missed earlier this season.
Rams WR Cooper Kupp injured his left knee in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game against the Seahawks. It's the same knee that he hurt back in Week 6. Kupp was in obvious pain this time and limped gingerly off the field with the help of a trainer. Josh Reynolds will step back into the #3 WR role if Kupp misses more time. Reynolds posted 1-19 and 3-42-2 lines in the 2 games Kupp missed earlier this year.
