Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson didn't practice Wednesday because of the left thumb injury that kept him out of Week 13. Chris Godwin owners certainly wouldn't mind if Jackson continues to miss game time. The 2nd-year wideout has reached 98 receiving yards in all 3 games he has played without Jackson active to date.
The Buccaneers have agreed to a trade that will send WR DeSean Jackson to the Eagles. Once it's official, the move would give Philly the deep threat that Mike Wallace wasn't able to provide in 2018. There's room for Jackson to rank 2nd among Eagles WRs in targets, though he's not likely to crack the team's top 2. Having Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz ahead of him will limit the target ceiling. Jackson's departure clears the way for WR Chris Godwin to remain the #2 in Tampa going forward.
Update: Philly will also sign Jackson to a new 3-year, $27 million deal -- confirmation that he's set to play a big role in the offense.
Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (Achilles) is inactive for today's game against the Falcons. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries will all be on the field for the majority of Tampa’s offensive snaps.
Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (Achilles) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Falcons. His absence means a boost in snaps for WR Chris Godwin, who should be considered a WR3 with upside.
Bucs WR DeSean Jackson did not practice on Wednesday. He suffered a foot injury in last week's loss to the Cowboys and ended up playing just 36% of the snaps. His absence in Sunday's finale against the Falcons would be a boost for WR Chris Godwin.
Bucs WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) is active for today’s game against the Cowboys. He’s a risk/reward WR4 in his 1st action since Week 12. Jackson’s return figures to eat into WR Chris Godwin’s snaps.
