Bills WR Robert Foster sustained a foot injury late last week that has him sidelined, reports Joe Buscaglia of WKBW in Buffalo. HC Sean McDermott said Tuesday he doesn't expect it to be a long-term issue but that it's also still early in the evaluation process. We'll see where this goes.
Bills WR Robert Foster is inactive for today's game against the Dolphins. He wasn't listed on the final injury report, so this looks like a healthy scratch. Duke Williams will continue to serve as Buffalo's #3 WR.
Bills WR Robert Foster was unsteady in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Colts. He hauled in just 1 of 4 targets for 14 yards and had a bad drop. It's only preseason game 1, but it was an extension of what has been a shaky camp for Foster. That, combined with the solid play behind him on the depth chart, has some of those covering the Bills questioning whether Foster's roster spot may be in jeopardy. It's unlikely he gets cut, but there's enough concern here to give you pause if you were considering taking a flier based on his big finish last season -- at least until he shows some sign of a turnaround.
Sirius XM's Adam Caplan said Sunday that Bills WR Robert Foster "will play as a rotational deep threat" and that the team's WR depth chart is "pretty much set in stone." That would mean John Brown and Zay Jones as the outside starters, Cole Beasley in the slot and Foster seeing limited time. All Bills wideouts are going late enough in drafts that you can take a shot on your favorite at low risk. But it's tough to see a path to true fantasy relevance for Foster after his intriguing 2018 rookie campaign.
Bills WR Robert Foster has been working with the backups early in training camp, according to the Buffalo News. The 1st-team offense has featured John Brown and Zay Jones as the outside WRs, with Cole Beasley in the slot. There's obviously plenty of time for Foster to make a move up the depth chart. But until we hear that he's running with the starters, he shouldn't be drafted as more than a late-round flier.
