NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the MRI on the injured ankle of Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy showed no significant damage and that "he has a shot to play" Sunday against the Ravens. That's a lot different than "expected to play." We'll see about the outlook for Damien Williams' knee, but RB Darwin Thompson makes for an attractive waiver target this week.
Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) put in a full practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. He's clearly on track to play against the Lions this weekend -- and might be healthier than he was last week. RB Damien Williams (knee) remained sidelined on Thursday.
Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He aggravated his ankle injury in the 4th quarter of last weekend's win over the Ravens, but the limited workout puts him on track to play against the Lions on Sunday. He'll come with risk in fantasy lineups, though, unless we hear that he's back to 100%. RB Damien Williams (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday and is looking unlikely to play this weekend.
Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is active for today’s game against the Ravens. He was listed as a full participant in Friday’s practice, so we’re pretty optimistic about his outlook today. There’s still a chance Kansas City limit’s his workload a bit — and this is a tough matchup. But the Chiefs’ explosive offense gives McCoy exciting upside.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport labels Chiefs RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) a "game-time decision" for Week 3 but adds "there is optimism that he starts" and that "he should have a big role." McCoy was listed as a full participant in Friday's practice, so we're expecting him to play. We'll find out for sure by noon ET.
Chiefs RB Damien Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens. RB LeSean McCoy (ankle) is listed as questionable. He put in a limited practice on Thursday and was listed as a full participant on Friday. HC Andy Reid said McCoy “got better each day” and had “a great practice [Friday].” It sounds like McCoy will suit up this weekend, although it's safe to assume he won't be at 100%. That, plus a tough Ravens run defense, adds risk to his fantasy outlook. But there's plenty of upside thanks to Kansas City's explosive offense. We're expecting RB Darwin Thompson to mix in behind McCoy, but the rookie is just a fantasy flier.
