Redskins QB Case Keenum (foot) isn’t listed on the final Week 4 injury report after putting in full practices on Thursday and Friday. He’ll start this weekend’s game against the Giants. There’s upside in that plus matchup — but Keenum also comes with risk after his 3-INT Week 3. His stock will take a hit if WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) isn’t able to play.
Browns QB Case Keenum has joined QB Baker Mayfield on the COVID list. That leaves QB Nick Mullens to start Saturday's game vs. the Raiders. Mullens has been on the practice squad since September 1, so he at least has some familiarity with the offense. Mullens made 8 starts for the 49ers between 2018 and 2020 and owns a career 64.5% completion rate, 7.9 yards-per-attempt average and 25 TDs vs. 22 INTs. He's probably not a significant downgrade from Keenum. We're still expecting a run-heavy attack from Cleveland on Saturday.
The Browns agreed to a 3-year, $18 million deal with QB Case Keenum on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed and likely locks Keenum in as Baker Mayfield's backup for at least the next couple of seasons. Keenum played for new Cleveland HC Kevin Stefanski in Minnesota in 2017, when Stefanski served as the Vikings' QBs coach.
Redskins QB Case Keenum sustained a concussion in the 1st half of Thursday night's game in Minnesota. Rookie QB Dwayne Haskins will be under center for the final 30 minutes. We'll track Keenum's progress through the protocol. It's his 2nd documented concussion.
Redskins QB Case Keenum is expected to start Sunday's game against the Dolphins, "assuming his foot injury allows him," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Keenum actually ranked 11th among QBs in fantasy points over the season's first 3 weeks and now draws a Miami squad sitting 30th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs. But we'd still consider Keenum more of a QB2 option than a QB1 spot starter.
Redskins QB Case Keenum was benched in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Giants after completing 6 of 11 passes for 37 yards and an INT. Rookie QB Dwayne Haskins has entered for Washington and figures to be under center the rest of today -- and probably the rest of the season.
