Dolphins HC Brian Flores announced Monday that WR Preston Williams will miss the rest of the season with the knee injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Jets. No word yet on Williams' exact injury or whether it'll impact his availability for the start of the 2020 campaign. It's the end of a promising rookie season that saw Williams dominate in preseason action and then post a 32-428-3 line in 8 regular season games. He leaves behind 7.5 targets per game. Allen Hurns is the best bet to step into Williams' spot but isn't worth rostering in fantasy right now. WR DeVante Parker and TE Mike Gesicki should get volume boosts with Williams out.
Update: ESPN's Cameron Wolfe reports that it's an ACL tear for Williams. We'll see if he can get back to full strength for the start of next season.
The Dolphins are re-signing WR Preston Williams to a 1-year deal, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Williams totaled just 16 targets across 8 games last season and isn't likely to turn fantasy relevant in an offense that has since added WR Cedrick Wilson and RB Chase Edmonds and franchise-tagged TE Mike Gesicki.
Dolphins WR Preston Williams did not travel with the team to Buffalo and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He wasn't listed on Friday's injury report, so it's unclear what happened here. William, of course, shouldn't have been in your fantasy plans.
Dolphins WR Preston Williams (groin) is inactive for today’s game vs. Jacksonville. With WRs DeVante Parker and Will Fuller also out, Miami is down to WRs Jaylen Waddle, Mack Hollins, Albert Wilson and Isaiah Ford. TE Mike Gesicki should continue to play a big role in the passing game.
Dolphins WR Preston Williams (foot, knee) is active for today’s game against the Bills. We’ll see how much Williams plays in his 2021 debut, but he shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups.
Dolphins WR Preston Williams (foot) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Patriots. WR Will Fuller serves the final game of his suspension today, so Miami is down to WRs Jaylen Waddle, DeVante Parker, Albert Wilson, Jakeem Grant and Mack Hollins.
