The Giants will fire HC Pat Shurmur, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Shurmur compiled a 9-23 record in 2 seasons at the helm in New York. We'll see who the G-Men tab as their next HC. They have an excellent core on offense with QB Daniel Jones, RB Saquon Barkley, WRs Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate and Darius Slayton and TE Evan Engram.

The Giants on Friday officially announced Jason Garrett as OC, Patrick Graham as DC and Thomas McGaughey as special-teams coordinator. Garrett, of course, spent the past 9.5 years as HC of the Cowboys. He spent the 3.5 years before that as Cowboys OC. Over those 13 seasons, Dallas finished among the league's top 11 in yards 9 times and inside the league's top half in scoring 11 times. Garrett's offenses didn't favor rushing vs. passing, instead seeming to lean toward the talent available. We'll break down his potential impact further as we move toward training camp. Graham spent 2019 as the Dolphins' DC, 2018 as Green Bay's LBs coach/run-game coordinator and the previous 2 seasons as Giants DL coach. We don't have enough on him yet to gauge the impact on scheme. We'll see about Graham's plan for the defense.

The Giants will hire Joe Judge as their next HC, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's an out-of-nowhere move. Judge spent the past 8 seasons in New England -- the first 7 as a special teams coach and 2019 as the WRs coach. Prior to that, he worked under Nick Saban at Alabama. At just 38 years old, he's now the league's 2nd-youngest HC. Frankly, that's about all we know about Judge at this point. We'll see who he tabs as his OC.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (ankle) will start this weekend's game against the Redskins, HC Pat Shurmur confirmed on Friday. Washington's secondary is extremely banged up -- and it wasn't a great pass defense to begin with. But Jones has been an extremely volatile fantasy producer this season, so consider him a risk/reward QB2 in season-long leagues and a DFS tournament play.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (ankle) was working with the starters in Wednesday's practice, according to insider Ralph Vacchiano. That suggests the team expects its rookie to return for this weekend's game against the Redskins. Jones posted a 225-1-2 passing line with 33 rushing yards vs. Washington back in Week 4 -- his 2nd career start. It's possible that his rushing ability is limited in the rematch coming off that high-ankle sprain.

Giants QB Daniel Jones (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. QB Eli Manning gets another start and is a low-end spot-start option vs. Miami's 29th-ranked QB defense.
