Broncos WR Courtland Sutton has resumed jogging as he works his way back from September's torn ACL. “I’m very grateful to be on-track and be feeling good with the spot I’m in," Sutton told the Denver Post. The timing of Sutton's injury means that he should be ready to go for the start of the 2021 campaign. The 25-year-old broke out for a 72-1,112-6 line in his 2019 sophomore season, finishing 19th among WRs in PPR points. QB play is still a concern in Denver, but Sutton should at least be drafted as an upside WR3 in early best balls.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's loss to the Steelers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That obviously ends Sutton's season. It also likely means a starting spot going forward for Tim Patrick, who led Broncos wideouts in snaps at Pittsburgh. Jerry Jeudy's target ceiling climbs as well, but he'll be playing with backup QB Jeff Driskel for the next 2-6 weeks. Perhaps that's not truly a downgrade from Drew Lock (AC joint sprain), but this promises to be a volatile pass offense going forward. Sutton might be worth a price check on the buyer's market for dynasty owners. He'll be 25 when the 2021 season begins.
Update: Sutton also reportedly tore the MCL in the same knee. We'll see about his recovery in the offseason.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is feared to have suffered a "significant" knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. He's undergoing an MRI. Sutton's absence would elevate rookie WR Jerry Jeudy to the top of the depth chart. Fellow rookie WR K.J. Hamler debuted in Week 2 and caught 3 of 7 targets for 48 yards while playing 62% of the offensive snaps. Denver also has WRs Tim Patrick and DaeSean Hamilton. Of course, QB Drew Lock's shoulder injury hurts the upside on all of these guys.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Steelers with a knee injury and cramping. We'll see about the severity of the knee. Sutton, of course, entered this game dealing with a shoulder injury.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Steelers. He was limited in practice all week and a game-time decision, so it’s safe to say he’s still not at 100%. That, plus the tough matchup, makes Sutton just a WR3 in fantasy lineups today.
Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) has a "good chance" to play against the Steelers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "But the team wants to work him out pregame to make sure his ailment has healed enough," Rapoport adds. We'll get Sutton's official status by noon ET today. He'll be a risk/reward fantasy play if active.
