The Vikings have released K Dan Bailey. The veteran converted a career-worst 68.2% of his FG attempts last season. There's certainly still a chance the 33-year-old lands a gig elsewhere this offseason, but we'd hold off on selecting him in FFPC best-ball drafts for now.
Vikings K Dan Bailey (back) is active for today’s game against the Lions. He carries elevated risk with the back injury.
Vikings K Dan Bailey (back) got in just 1 limited practice this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Lions. Look elsewhere for your fantasy kicker.
The Cowboys have surprisingly cut K Dan Bailey after he spent 11 years with the team, opting to go with Brett Maher. Maher originally signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent way back in 2013, then spent a couple of weeks with the Cowboys after the Jets cut him. Maher then kicked in the CFL for 4 seasons, connecting on 78% of FG attempts. Bailey had been a reliable fantasy kicker, but we wouldn't trust Maher among the top 12.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that K Dan Bailey is dealing with a "sensitive" hamstring. He wasn't listed on the Week 14 injury report but missed 2 long FGs and an XP (the 1st of his career) in the win over the Giants. We'll keep an eye on Bailey this week, but he's a bit of a risky Week 15 fantasy option.
Cowboys K Dan Bailey (groin) is active for today's game against the Chargers. Fill-in K Mike Nugent, meanwhile, is inactive. That indicates Dallas isn't worried about Bailey making it through the game, so you shouldn't either if you were planning on using a Dallas kicker.
