The Texans placed WR Jaylin Noel on IR with his turf toe. That knocks him out for at least 4 games, but The Houston Chronicle's Jonathan M Alexander reports that Noel is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Commanders WR Stefon Diggs was held out of Wednesday's practice and listed on the injury report with "hand/hamstring/rest." It's unclear if the hand and/or hamstring injury might keep him out of Sunday's game against the Eagles. If healthy, Diggs will get an excellent matchup against struggling slot CB Cooper DeJean.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring, knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, his first since going down in Week 4. That gives him a chance to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday, but we'll need to monitor his status over the next few days. Rice would be a risky fantasy start coming off the injury and facing a tough Denver secondary.
Rams WR Davante Adams had successful surgery on his injured hamstring, HC Sean McVay announced Wednesday. McVay added that the team is "hopeful" Adams will be back on the early side of the 6- to 10-week timeline, per insider Adam Grosbard. Even that optimistic timetable would keep Adams out until Week 13. It'd be at least another week beyond that before we could trust him in fantasy lineups. For now, Adams is only worth stashing in fantasy leagues with deep benches and/or multiple IR spots.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he should be cleared for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. McConkey has registered a route rate north of 52% in just two games this season due to multiple injuries. He posted 3-35-0 and 4-66-0 lines in those two games. Consider him a volatile WR3 in Week 8 fantasy lineups. WR Tre Harris (hamstring) was limited on Wednesday, giving him a shot to return for this weekend's game.
Falcons RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. RB Bijan Robinson's usage didn't noticeably change with Brian out last week. Atlanta used Khalil Herbert as the No. 2 RB. Bijan, of course, remains a must-start regardless of Brian's status for Sunday's game vs. the Buccaneers.
Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka (foot, concussion) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He should clear concussion protocol by this weekend, but it's still unclear whether the foot might keep him out. We'll keep you updated on Egbuka's status leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Falcons.
Jets RB Breece Hall (quad) remained limited in Wednesday's practice. He was limited in the final two practices last week before missing the Dolphins game. We're tentatively projecting Hall to return for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders but will keep you updated on his status. He'll be a more comfortable fantasy start with at least one full practice.
Colts TE Tyler Warren (groin) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's injury report. The team only held a walk-through, so it's an estimation of Warren's participation. But it gives him a chance to return for this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. We'll keep you updated on Warren's progress the rest of the week.
Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) was held out of Wednesday's practice, as expected. HC Dan Campbell said Monday that St. Brown wouldn't practice today but is expected to be ready for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. He can stay penciled into Week 8 fantasy lineups. We'll update St. Brown's status again tomorrow.
Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any other details, but Gibbs did finish out the Week 7 win over the Packers. He also appeared on The Pat McAfee Show today and said, "My body feels good." This is likely just some early-week maintenance for a guy who's averaged 27.7 touches through 6 games. We'll update Gibbs' status again tomorrow. Sione Vaki would be Detroit's likely lead back if Gibbs misses Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.
Vikings RB Aaron Jones (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. The aggravation of his Week 2 MCL sprain reportedly isn't serious, but his availability for Sunday's game vs. the Lions is uncertain. Jones' absence would be a big boost to RB Jordan Mason's outlook.
Titans WR Carnell Tate (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie finished out last week's loss to the Browns and should be available for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals, but we'll keep an eye on him over the next few days.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It was his first full practice since going down in Week 4 and puts him on track to play against the Bills this weekend. Jackson's mobility might still not be all the way back, but he'll boast plenty of fantasy upside vs. Buffalo's 29th-ranked QB defense.
Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (chest) was limited in Wednesday's practice, sporting a non-contact jersey. He briefly exited Buffalo's last game before the bye but was able to return. He should be available for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens, but we'll keep you updated on his status.
Bills WR D.J. Moore (shoulder) remained limited in Wednesday's practice coming off the bye week. HC Joe Brady said Moore remains uncertain for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens. We'll keep you updated on his status over the next few days.
The Eagles announced Wednesday that RB Dameon Pierce has landed on IR, but they still have yet to disclose the injury that knocked him out of Monday night's loss to Dallas late. The team also announced that it has elevated RB Jaydon Blue from the practice squad to the active roster.
Chargers S Derwin James hasn't played since Week 3 because of a hamstring injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that James will miss more time after suffering a setback in his recovery. HC Jim Harbaugh reportedly said the veteran safety might land on IR. That indicates the team doesn't like James' chances of returning within the next four weeks.
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with "ankle" and "rest." It's unclear if the ankle actually kept him sidelined today, but it's certainly a situation to monitor over the next few days. It'd be tough to trust a Bengals WR outside of Tee Higgins in fantasy lineups if Chase missed this weekend's game vs. the Titans, but TE Mike Gesicki would become an interesting spot starter.
Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder, foot) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Panthers. He only got in a limited practice on Wednesday. Golden played through these issues against Detroit this past weekend, so we're expecting him to suit up tomorrow. But we'll look for further updates on his status and get Green Bay's inactives a little before 7 pm ET.
