Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs wasn't participating for the open of training camp on Wednesday. The Lions picked up Gibbs' fifth-year option in April, tying him to the team through the 2027 season. But his absence from camp is likely tied to his desire for a long-term contract.

The Falcons held their first training camp practice on Wednesday, but star RB Bijan Robinson didn't participate. Robinson is likely seeking a long-term contract ahead of his fourth NFL season.

The Steelers drafted WR Roman Wilson in Round 3 in 2024. Since then, he has tallied just 12 total receptions across two pro seasons. That made him a surprising target for praise Tuesday.

Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. rolled his left ankle over the weekend but was back practicing with the team Tuesday. That confirms the issue was as minor as suspected. Barring any further setbacks, this shouldn't impact your outlook for Harrison in 2026 (and didn't affect our projections).

New England's renovated WR corps will be interesting to watch throughout the summer, and the first days of camp have already supplied some interesting notes. A.J. Brown, for one thing, has reportedly gotten off to a slow start in his connection with QB Drake Maye. According to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, Brown caught just three of 10 passes from his new QB through Tuesday's workout, limited to the short range. Kayshon Boutte, meanwhile, "has been a highlight machine" despite running fourth among Pats wideouts. Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas have joined Brown as the top three.

Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks was a full participant in Tuesday's padded practice, likely his first real contact since tearing his ACL in December 2024. He missed all of training camp in both 2024 and 2025 while rehabbing a pair of ACL injuries.

SI's Albert Breer visited Seahawks training camp early this week and had an interesting take on the return timeline for RB Zach Charbonnet in his recovery from a January ACL tear. Charbonnet's currently on the physically unable to perform list but eligible to come off at any point the team deems him ready to practice. If he stays on the PUP throughout camp, the RB would be eligible to stay on the list into the season. That would cost him at least the first four games.

Saints WR Chris Olave is full go and has no restrictions for training camp, GM Mickey Loomis said Tuesday. Olave was limited this offseason after going on blood thinners for the blood clot found in his lung in January.

Colts HC Shane Steichen called WR Josh Downs "a tremendous football player" and said he's "trying to find different ways to get him the ball." Boosting Downs' playing time would be a good place to start. WR Michael Pittman's departure leaves behind a big opportunity.

Patriots WR Kyle Williams has been buried on the depth chart early in training camp, according to The Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan. Williams got no work with QB Drake Maye on Tuesday, per Callahan, trailing WRs A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Efton Chism, and Demario Douglas. Woof.

Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley confirmed that RB De’Von Achane won’t have any restrictions at the start of training camp. The 24-year-old sat out team drills in offseason practices following shoulder surgery.

49ers rookie WR De’Zhaun Stribling was a surprise pick at 33rd overall. Early in camp, though, he’s already earning the trust of QB Brock Purdy. “The way he runs routes, the detail of it … obviously, we’re coaching him up on some stuff and whatnot, but more than anything, he’s come in and understands the route depth, the details, the alignments in our offense. And all those things are really tough for rookies. It’s not easy. It’s a whole other language.”

Dolphins WR Chris Bell had ACL surgery in December but appears close to returning. HC Jeff Hafley said Bell is "not very far away," per Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post, and seemed to put the timeline closer to weeks than months. Bell already completed the Dolphins conditioning test and will be running at the start of camp.

Colts WR Alec Pierce had ankle surgery in March that has placed him on the physically unable to perform list to start training camp. The designation isn’t a surprise after the surgery, but worth noting that Pierce could miss a chunk (if not all) of training camp. He currently is working off a reported 4-to-6-month recovery timeline, so the start of the season is still in some doubt. Missing Pierce would be a big blow to the Colts' offense after giving him a new 4-year, $114 million contract.

The Lions have announced that starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph will both open training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Branch is working back from the Achilles' tear that ended his 2025 season in early December. Joseph missed 11 games last year while dealing with a nagging knee injury. He's apparently not over it yet.

Colts second-round LB CJ Allen is opening training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Allen reportedly suffered a calf injury in a recent workout that's not expected to keep him out long.

The Chargers appear headed for a TE rotation that could sap the fantasy value of all three members. Oronde Gadsden carries plenty of long-term intrigue after a nice debut as a fifth-round rookie. But the team added Charlie Kolar on a three-year deal with an $8.1 million average in free agency, followed by David Njoku arriving on a one-year, $3 million pact.

The Packers have placed TE Tucker Kraft on the PUP list as he continues to recover from a Week 9 ACL tear.

49ers WR Christian Kirk missed the second day of training camp after straining his calf on Day 1, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC. His absence could give rookie second-round WR De’Zhaun Stribling more early camp work. The 49ers signed Kirk to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million this offseason.
