Raiders RB Rashad Jennings has passed all his concussion tests, according to insider Vic Tafur. Barring a setback this week, he'll be back for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. There's no reason to believe the Raiders won't go back to Jennings as their lead back, despite RB Marcel Reece's impressive Week 14 performance. Reece won't be a Week 15 fantasy option. Jennings will be a RB2 against Kansas City's middling run defense.
The Giants have cut RB Rashad Jennings, saving $2.5 million against the 2017 salary cap. Jennings limped his way to just 3.3 yards per carry this past season and turns 32 in March. His days as a lead back are over. Jennings' departure leaves RB Paul Perkins atop the depth chart. He closed his rookie campaign with 72 carries for 301 yards (4.2 YPC) over his final 6 outings. Perkins is the current favorite for lead-back duties, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Giants add competition this offseason. The rookie RB class looks deep.
Giants RBs Rashad Jennings and Paul Perkins each carried 15 times for a matching 45 yards in Sunday night's win over the Cowboys. Jennings drew 2 pass targets to 1 for Perkins, catching both for 12 yards. Perkins caught his lone look for no gain. He also lost what would have been his longest run of the night to a holding penalty. Jennings played 11 more snaps than Perkins did, according to Pro Football Focus. He remains the slightly better fantasy option, though neither is poised to help you much the rest of the way.
Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) is active for today’s game against the Ravens. He figures to take back over as the lead ball-carrier but could lose passing-game work to RB Bobby Rainey. Jennings is just a RB3 or flex vs. Baltimore’s 2nd-ranked RB defense.
Giants RB Rashad Jennings is expected to start Sunday against the Ravens, barring a setback in Saturday's practice, ESPN's Jordan Ranaan reports. Jennings missed the past 3 games with a thumb injury but expressed confidence earlier this week that he'd be ready to play. We'd still prefer not to use him against a tough Ravens run D. But if you need a Giants back, it looks like Jennings over Orleans Darkwa.
Giants RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens after a limited week of practice. It’s the same boat he’s been in the last 3 weeks before ending up inactive. Jennings seems more optimistic about his availability this time around, but we’ll have to wait until noon ET on Sunday to see if he plays. He won’t be much of a fantasy option even if he does. Baltimore is ranked 2nd in fantasy points allowed to RBs and is yielding just 3.8 yards per carry.
