Pair of Cards DBs suffer concussions | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

The Cardinals watched 2 DBs leave Sunday's win over the Eagles with concussions. CB Patrick Peterson suffered his injury in a 1st-half collision with Jeremy Maclin. Jefferson played 75 of the 94 snaps and had his injury revealed Monday. Both will need to pass through the league protocol before returning to action. Fortunately, neither is much of an IDP factor. Jefferson's recent playing time hasn't proved consistent enough for fantasy owners to trust him. Losing him for Sunday's trip to Dallas wouldn't affect the outlook for the team D. Peterson has failed to live up to his reputation in coverage this year, but missing him would still only make Arizona a more positive passing matchup for Tony Romo and the Dallas WRs in Week 9.

Recent Shark Bites

Cardinals S Jalen Thompson (concussion) and CB Byron Murphy (calf) are active for today's game against the Steelers. Use them as you were planning in IDP lineups.

Cardinals ILBs Jordan Hicks (calf) and Haason Reddick (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. Hicks missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before a limited Friday workout. Reddick put in limited practices all week and looks like the better bet to play.

Cardinals LBs Haason Reddick (shoulder) and Terrell Suggs (back) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Reddick put in limited practices the past 2 days after sitting out Wednesday and seems to be trending toward playing. Suggs missed the full week of practice but also barely practiced last week. He still played three-quarters of that game. We'll check on the status of both players Sunday.

Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson (illness) is active for today's game against the Rams. He's not a strong IDP option but is available if he's been in your plans. DE Markus Golden (ankle) is inactive.

Cardinals S Budda Baker (foot) and S Tre Boston (chest) are questionable for Sunday's game at Kansas City. Baker showed up on the injury report Thursday, missing that day's workout, but returned for limited participation Friday. Boston put in limited workouts all week after missing the past 2 games. We'll check the status of both safeties Sunday morning.
