Miller a "complete RB"

Texans GM Rick Smith described Lamar Miller as a "complete RB."  Added Smith, "I just think that he has a skill set that will allow our creative coaches to utilize him in a way that hopefully is a threat to defenses."  Miller's volume in Miami was inconsistent, but he averaged 4.8 yards per carry and 7.9 yards per catch over the past 2 seasons.  Houston will utilize Miller "as an inside and outside running presence who figures to be a healthy part of the passing game," according to the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson.  In other words, Miller will be a 3-down back.  He's pricey in fantasy drafts, with an ADP in the early 2nd round.  But he's capable of paying off that investment.

RB Lamar Miller has re-signed a 1-year deal with Washington, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Miller joined the team in the middle of last December but never hit the field. He turns 30 in April and will just be insurance behind RBs Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic in Washington.

Washington signed RB Lamar Miller off Chicago's practice squad. Miller isn't a Week 15 fantasy option, but the move is a sign that The Football Team doesn't expect RB Antonio Gibson (toe) back for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Bears RB Lamar Miller is officially active for tonight's game against the Vikings. He joins Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce in the RB group with David Montgomery out. Chicago also figures to use Cordarrelle Patterson out of the backfield tonight.

The Bears will elevate RB Lamar Miller from the practice squad for Monday night's game vs. Minnesota. It'll be his 1st action since tearing his ACL last August. Miller, Ryan Nall and Cordarrelle Patterson will handle backfield duties tomorrow with RB David Montgomery sidelined with his concussion. It's a situation to try to avoid.

The Bears have signed RB Lamar Miller to their practice squad. Miller couldn't make it in New England after last year's torn ACL and is nowhere near a lock to earn a role in Chicago. But the Bears are hurting for RB depth after losing Tarik Cohen for the season. We'll keep an eye on Miller but wouldn't be adding him to fantasy rosters right now.
