ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) won't play against the Rams today. RB Theo Riddick (knee) has already been ruled out. That leaves Detroit with RBs Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett, who are "expected to split carries," per Schefter. Zenner is the slightly better bet in non-PPR; Forsett gets the slight edge in PPR. But neither guy is more than a RB3 or flex option.
The Lions on Saturday cut RB Dwayne Washington and placed RB Zach Zenner on IR for a back injury, according to MLive.com. That could mean RB Ameer Abdullah has secured a spot on the 53-man roster. We'll see once Detroit finalizes things later today.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington (hip) is out for this weekend’s game against the Bears. Zach Zenner should step in as Detroit’s #3 RB but isn’t a fantasy option.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington (quad) is out for Sunday’s game against the Falcons. RB Zach Zenner figures to step into Washington’s minor role, so we’re not bumping up RB Ameer Abdullah’s Week 3 projection.
Lions RB Dwayne Washington rushed for 64 yards on 16 attempts vs. Chicago. He added 1 catch for 10 yards on 2 targets. Washington saw an increased role with Theo Riddick (wrist) out. Backup Zach Zenner saw only 2 targets and 7 carries. We expect Riddick back for Week 15, but if not, Washington will have the look of a flex option vs. the Giants
Lions RB Dwayne Washington (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears after a limited week of practice. He might have been a RB3 or flex option if he was completely healthy in this spot. But we’d leave him on fantasy benches at less than 100%.
